We know the chorus of 1987’s Never Gonna Give You Up as Never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry. Never gonna say goodbye. Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
However, some think Rick Astley is singing something else. So he sang the song with the misheard lyrics as Then I’m gonna give you up. Then I’m gonna let you down. Then I’m gonna run around with dessert spoons. Then I’m gonna make you cry. Then I’m gonna say goodbye. Then I’m gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
It totally changes the whole meaning of the tune. If those were the lyrics, then Rickroll wouldn’t be a thing. Although, if those were with those lyrics, then we would be really fucked up if we made Rickrolling a thing with them,
Before Tom Hanks was a two-time Oscar winner, he got his start in He Knows You’re Alone. He looks the same now as he did when he was 23 in that 1980 movie.
It is October, and that means it is breast cancer awareness month. Therefore, the news and talk shows will make their female anchors and hosts get mamograms on television.
But breast cancer does not only affect women. Men also get it. So The Talk asked Jerry O’Connell & Akbar Gbajabiamila to get one done, so they did it on today’s show.
The two men experienced what we go through once a year. They felt their moobs get smushed by the machine. And they said it didn’t hurt that much.
In fact, now they can be more supportive to their wives and be there for their daughters when it is their time. Although, by the time their four daughters are old enough to get one, I doubt they will still be doing mammograms with all of the technological advancements in medicine.
I want to thank O’Connell and Gbajabiamila for getting one done in front of the camera. It is going to make a big difference to both men and women who are hesitant to get it done.
About two weeks ago, Mary Lou Retton’s daughter, McKenna Kelley, announced that her mom was in a hospital ICU, fighting for her life with a rare form of pneumonia.
Today, Kelley gave an update on her mom. She wrote, “Mom is HOME & in recovery mode. We still have a long road of recovery ahead of us, but baby steps.
“We are overwhelmed with the love and support from everyone. Grateful doesn’t scrape the surface of the posture of our hearts.
“Thank you Jesus, thank you doctors & nurses, thank you to this loving community of support.”
Hopefully, the gold-medal olympian will be better soon! As we know, she is a fighter! So I can’t wait to see her smile that goes from ear to ear.
