Mattel has added a new leading lady to their Tribute Collection, and her name is Lucille Ball. This is not the first doll they have made of the actress, but it is the first time she is being honored with other legendary women throughout history.
This latest replica of the comedian was given the stamp of approval by her children. Lucie Arnaz Jr. said, “After more than 20 years and 23 dolls celebrating Lucy and Ricky Ricardo and I Love Lucy episodes, my brother, Desi Arnaz, Jr., and I are very pleased Mattel has chosen to honor our mother, Lucille Ball, in their celebration of great women of achievement with her very own Barbie doll!”
She is only available for a limited time. So if you want her, you can purchase her for $40 while supplies last.
I think it is a must-have for her fans because she is simply gorgeous. If I were an admirer, I would add her to my collection.
They say it’s good to be boss, and for Jeopardy’s Executive Producer that seems to be very true. That is because Variety is reporting Mike Richards is in “advanced negotiations to become permanent host of Jeopardy!” However, Sony says they are looking at several candidates, and no decision has been made
The news did not go over well in the world of social media because they want Levar Burton or Mayim Bialik to get the job. I am still rooting for Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who never filled in as guest host.
When it comes to Richards, I was shocked to read in the article that he hosted High School Reunion and Beauty and the Geek. I honestly don’t remember him hosting either show or that the shows even had a host. I think that says a lot about how memorable he is.
Also, once you transition into a behind-the-scenes role, it is hard to go in front of the camera again. He will be a nightmare to work with because he will be a know it all. Talent needs to be reigned in by the boss. But when you have been boss, no one can tell you what to do. At least that is my experience.
What is, do you think he would be a good replacement for the late Alex Trebek?
On Monday, Kathy Griffin revealed that she has lung cancer and was going under the knife that day to remove half of her lung.
As she was in the operating room, an interview she did with Nightline aired. In that interview, she revealed that was she has been addicted to prescription pills and attempted suicide a year ago.
Today, she gave an update on how she is doing after her operation. “To be honest, this cancer surgery was a little more than I had anticipated,” she wrote. “Tonight will be my first night without any narcotic pain killers. Hello Tylenol, my new best friend! The last time I was in a hospital was in June 2020 when I tried to take my life and overdosed on prescription pills. With over a year clean and drug free, I now know I can do this and anything I want without those devil pills. You know what? I fear drugs and addiction more than I fear cancer. So, I think I’ll be ok.”
Hopefully, in a few weeks, she will regain her strength so she can scream at the top of her one and a half lungs that she is cancer-free.
Before Kathy Griffin made herself known with her loud voice, she did it via a kazoo for the Chicago White Sox. You can totally recognize the 18-year-old in that 1978 commercial.
