Me TV has a brand new Retro Race for their Millennials, Gen Xers and Baby Boomers to compete in. This time instead of trying to see who could dial a phone number the fastest on a rotary phone, they wanted to see who could fill a Pez Dispenser in the least amount of time.
Since I have not filled one since I was a kid and I ate more of the sugar candies than I put in the slot, I do not remember it being hard to do. Apparently, it is. At least it seems that way when the three generations try to do it.
Which generation won? Unlike last time, it was someone from the youngest generation as compared to someone who is older. She came in at just under 50 seconds. The loser was also from that generation because a Baby Boomer got disqualified.
I don’t know about you, but my biggest takeaway from this is that I am totally craving Pez!
Amber Rose is gearing up for her annual Slut Walk on October 6th and she promoted it in the outfit she wore to the VMAs.
The purpose of Amber Rose’s Slut Walk is about “raising awareness about sexual injustice, domestic violence and gender inequality. The Amber Rose SlutWalk aims to impact and uplift, while shifting the paradigm of rape culture. The event provides a safe, all-inclusive space to entertain, educate, and empower.”
While that messaging is great, seeing her dressed as a devil and telling us how soft the bed is as she tells us that, seems a little contradictory.
Maybe it is me? Did her message get across to you?
We already know that Murphy Brown (Candice Bergen) is going to be joined by her co-workers Corky (Faith Ford), Miles (Grant Shaud) and Miles (Joe Regalbut0), but what about Jim Dial? Yesterday, the show’s creator Diane English shared a photo after a table read and said, “Charlie Kimbrough crushed it. Here’s a rehearsal scene of Jim Dial’s return to Phil’s bar.”
I do not know who is more excited about his return us or Regalbuto. I think we are a close second. Seriously, am I the only person who is happy to see FYI all together again?
Hopefully, now that the 82-year-old got a taste of what it is like being back on the show, we will see him more often.
The show’s first/eleventh season debuts on September 27th.
Tonight at the VMAs, they wanted to pay tribute to Aretha Franklin. They thought, who can we get to it do it? Let’s see who is the oldest person here? Steven Tyler, yes he is the oldest but not him. What about Madonna? She is 60 and from Detroit, she would be perfect.
Perfectly awful that is because she made the speech all about her. She revealed that singing (You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman helped her at an audition when she did not have a song prepared. Who cares? It is not always about Madonna. To her yes, to us no.
Madge better hope that Aretha is happy heaven. If not, you know she will be haunting her for that memoriam.
Then again, Madonna might be upset because Aretha’s death upstaged her 60th birthday on Thursday. Madonna probably thought it was going to be all about her but instead it was all about Aretha’s death day.
