For months, there have been rumors and campaigns trying to make Idris Elba the next Bond, James Bond. Yesterday, while he was walking the carpet for his directorial for the movie Yardie, Good Morning Britain asked him about it.
First, they handed him a martini and asked him if he likes it shaken or stirred. He told them, “stirred fry.” Then she asked him, “Am I looking at the next 007?” As he is walking away, he told her, “no,” and laughed.
This is the second bit of bad news for the franchise in 24 hours. Yesterday, Danny Boyle dropped out of directing Bond 25 and now this. Maybe it is time for them to hit the pause button and reevaluate how they move forward with other Bond movies. What do you think?
Nicki Minaj and Future were set to start their tour on September 21st, but now it is not happening. Live Nation told Variety,” Following her unforgettable VMA performance, Nicki Minaj has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour. … [and] to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve.”
Now her tour is postponed until February and Future will not be part of it.
When it comes to why it might have been cancelled, Page Six is reporting her sales might be the worst for any artist this year. A Live Nation source told the newspaper, “These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050.” Ouch.
