Is Kelly Ripa finally going to announce her new co-host tomorrow?
April 30th, 2017 under Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. [ Comments: none ]

It has been a year since Michael Strahan announced that he was leaving Live with Kelly and Michael for Good Morning America and today his former co-host, Kelly Ripa, hinted she is about to announce who is going to replace him.

I say hinted because she once teased a big announcement about her co-host before and it was just a contest for viewers to apply for the job.

I hope they finally announce the replacement because some of the fill ins have been great like Jerry O’Connell and Josh Groban and some have not been as good. Which means I am rooting for those two to get the job, but I am not sure they were selected. I have no idea who will be sitting next to her. Who do you want to get the title?

Nat Geo looks back at LA 92 tonight
April 30th, 2017 under National Geographic. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1992, LA was changed forever. The year beforehand four White cops were filmed beating an African American man up. They stood trial and on April 29th they were acquitted for his beating. Racial tensions were already at their peak and this verdict was the last straw. For the next six days and nights there would be riots, looting, fires, injuries and deaths in Los Angeles and the World watched it all go down on live television.

Tonight at 9p on Nat Geo’s LA 92, they look back at the LA Riots with archived video and actual news footage. No commentary just letting the story tell itself with the heartbreaking and shocking images as they happened over that week. From the verdict until until calm was eventually restored.

We can learn from out past and this is a powerful teaching material.

Is this the most epic Kiss Cam fail?
April 30th, 2017 under Kiss Cam. [ Comments: none ]

We have seen some truly awkward Kiss Cam fails, but this one might at Thursday’s Milwaukee Bucks’ game be the most awkward of them all.

The camera zoomed in on a man sitting with a woman, who looking at her phone instead of the action, and immediately he shook his head no. Then he mouthed to them why he would not do it, “That’s my mom.” At the moment, his mom looked up from phone saw they were on the Jumbotron and was completely disgusted.

Although, she should be thrilled that they think she looks young enough to date someone of her son’s age. Not her son of course, because eww. But that she looks young enough to be his sister and not his mom. Not that it is OK to kiss your sister, but you know what I mean.

Don’t tell my heart, my achy breaky heart Billy Ray Cyrus changes his name
April 29th, 2017 under Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus. [ Comments: none ]

Before Billy Ray Cyrus was known as Miley Cyrus’ father, he was singer known for his hit Achy Breaky Heart. That song came out 25 years ago, yes a quarter of a century ago, and he released a new version of it in honor of the milestone. The tune is much slower now, much like the man himself, and it is just as catchy.

That isn’t the only change going on in his life, he is no longer going by Billy Ray Cyrus. He just wants to be known as Cyrus. Personally, I think he should’ve gone with MD Cyrus as in Miley’s Dad Cyrus and not as in his show Doc.
