The good news is that NBC announced today that Grimm will be back on January 6th. The bad news is they also declared that it will be the show’s final season.
Although the news is not unexpected, because their episode order was cut from the normal 22 down to 13, it is still heartbreaking. It was one of the few Horror shows on Broadcast TV that got better over time. They knew how to perfectly mesh the scare of the week with the mythology. Something most shows only know how to do one or the other in any given episode.
I will try to see the positive in this news, at least they have time to prepare for the end and not leave us with one of their suspenseful cliffhangers like ALF, Soap, Benson or V unfortunately had to do because they were cancelled without any notice.
UPDATE: Here is what we can expect from Grimm’s 6th and final (sniff sniff) season:
As for events leading into the final season, the nefarious forces of Black Claw have been silenced and Nick (David Giuntoli) faces an all too familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Now in the seat of power as the mayor elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring the peace.
Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world, and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) faces unsettling identity issues as her former self lurks below the surface.
Gene Wilder passed away today at the age of 83 from Alzheimer complications according to NBC News.
The curly red head was a staple of our childhood thanks to his portrayal of Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Along with winning that Golden Ticket, we also loved him as Mel Brooks go to star in legendary movies like The Producer, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. Then he went on to star in Stir Crazy and See No Evil, Hear No Evil with Richard Pryor, The Women in Red and Haunted Honeymoon with his true love Gilda Radner. They had a love for the ages which sadly did not last that long because she died 5 years after they married from Ovarian Cancer. He opened Gilda’s Club in her honor.
Today, let’s remember the man who brought so much joy into our lives and watch one of his several films.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Webb and nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman.
For the last 8 months, there have been many rumors that Pretty Little Liars is ending and today Freeform finally confirmed it in a Facebook Live chat with Creator Marlene King and actresses Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse. The final 10 episodes, after tomorrow’s summer finale, will begin airing in April.
The last episodes will include more surprise guest appearances from the first 7 seasons, a wedding, lots of answers and ultimately a 2-hour finale.
How do you feel about PLL ending?
