David Spade says he was offered Late Night before Conan O’Brien
November 5th, 2015 under David Spade. [ Comments: none ]

It has been over 20 years since Conan O’Brien took over Late Night from David Letterman, and now David Spade claims he was offered the the job first. While sitting down with The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Joe Dirt revealed that Lorne Michaels offered him the hosting job when he was still on Saturday Night Live, but he turned it down. At the time, Spade was still young and wanted to do a sitcom and not get tied down to late night show. He felt, “That might be it for me, I’ll just be a talk show guy.” Even though he said no, he says he was still offered $2 million a year to change his mind. As we know he didn’t.
I guess Spade was right. If you look at all the other talk show hosts of the time, they all spent over 20 years in their seats. Even though he was right, I think I would’ve gotten in to late night earlier had he taken over Late Night. Although, that means we would not have Conan and I think he’s the best late night host on television today. So it’s a toss up for me, what do you think of his reveal.

Did you get a rise from the London Has Fallen trailer?
November 5th, 2015 under Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman. [ Comments: none ]

The first trailer is out for London Has Fallen, and the dick flick looks pretty invigorating. Plus, if the Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman and Gerard Butler starrer is anything like White House Has Fallen, I can’t wait to see it on Match 4th. I don’t normally enjoy movies in this genre, but the first film was a thrill ride from the beginning until the end. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out the next time it is on.

How do toddlers respond to Adele’s Hello?
November 5th, 2015 under Adele. [ Comments: none ]

via Today
When a lot adults heard Hello for the first time, they cried. What happens if you are 15 months old and you hear the ballad for the first time? If you are Jalal Hijaz, you say, “hi,” after you hear her sing, “Hello!”
I don’t think I will be able to listen to the chart topping hit the same way again, but it is worth it because that was the most precious response to the opening lyric.

Country music stars don’t let their Mean Tweets get them down!
November 5th, 2015 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Country music might have produced some of the saddest songs, but that doesn’t mean their singers don’t have great sense of humor. Yesterday, Jimmy Kimmel Live had some of them read their Mean Tweets and almost all of them were laughing at what was being said about them. In fact, Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox was in tears he was laughing so hard.
I love when people can laugh about themselves, it says a lot about them. All good thing! If you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?
