Sorry Twerking and Binge-Watching, Selfie is #1! |

Over the weekend James Franco Tweeted the above photo and said “All the kids are doing it”. Turns out the Oscar host was on to something because Selfie was named the Word of the Year by Oxford Dictionary. The word was added back in August along with pictures of Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes talking self portraits in the bathroom next to it. OK, I am lying about the last part, but not the word being in the dictionary.
So what other words made the list this year, they are binge-watch, bitcoin, olinguito, schmeat, showrooming and yes twerk was there too. Thankfully it was on the list because just like the SATs, I knew less than 50% of the words.
So now that Selfie is this year’s #1 word, I am sure we are going to see even more than we already do. Is that even possible?

C Thomas Howell posted this picture of himself hard at work and I think the actor still looks as hot as he did when he was a teen idol in the ’80s. Don’t you just want to ride Pony Boy?

Tonight’s Mike & Molly on CBS at 9p is so funny that I laughed more during this one episode than I did the show’s entire run.
Molly (Melissa McCarthy) has been writing a short story and let’s just say it something that EL James would write about, and that is not the best part of the episode.
Molly agreed to go with her little sister to Happy Hour, but when Victoria (Katy Mixon) runs late the big sister has to meet her at her job. Victoria works as funeral home beautician and Molly doesn’t like the idea of seeing dead people. After waiting and waiting, Molly finally goes in and her sister convinces her that dead people aren’t so bad. Something that is a lot easier when Victoria gives her some pot. Now they are not only having fun with the stiffs, they are trying out coffins for size. And yes, there is a moment that will have you laughing hysterically.
Once the laughing finally dies down, be prepared to laugh again when Mike (Billy Gardell) confronts Molly over book. Well actually he takes a page from it and it is Fifty Shades of awesome! Just like tonight’s whole episode, so make sure to watch,
It truly is balls to the wall this season on Mike & Molly and I am loving the new and improved sitcom!

Tom Selleck was on Late Night yesterday and Jimmy Fallon asked him about his first acting job. So Magnum PI told him it was with a dog and a trick the trainer told him to do to get the dog to pretend attack him. Well fast forward to this year and once again he had to work with a dog on Blue Bloods. When they went to rehearse the scene the big pup put his paws on Commissioner Reagan’s chest and went in for a kiss. Everyone thought it was puppy love at first sight, but turns out it wasn’t. This trainer likes to put food in his mouth to get his pooch to do what he wants. So turns out man’s best friend was not licking Tom’s lip for a kiss, but he was doing it to get some food. What we got out of this tail, I mean tale, is a cute story and even cuter picture.
Selleck also revealed some secrets about how they film the dinner scenes on the CBS drama that airs on Friday nights. So listen to what they do and then watch as they do it. You will never watch those family meals the same way.
