Arrow’s Stephen Amell suffers for his art
October 30th, 2012 under DC Comics, Stephen Amell, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday Stephen Amell Tweeeted, “I just banged my calf so hard. There’s nothing left to do but laugh, cry a little and maybe pee in my pants.” Then the Arrow star added, “My calf hurts so bad I just invented a six-syllable curse word and then proactively apologized to the crew. #CliffordTheCalf”. No word what it is, but I can’t wait to find out what it is so I can use it myself.
Well today he Tweeted the above picture and said, “It was worth it, but my leg definitely shouldn’t look like that.” I don’t know, but I think his calf looks more like a superheroes now that is all swollen like that. Granted the superheroes I am thinking of are the Hulk and the Thing.
Oh and Amell may play a tough guy on TV every Wednesday on The CW at 8p, but in real life he still has to answer to his mom. Because after he posted the picture he Tweeted, “Note to self: Don’t put pictures of your comically swollen leg on twitter without first explaining to your Mom you’re 100% ok.” Good idea! Hopefully you won’t hurt yourself like that again so you don’t have to worry her and all of your fans!
BTW no word when that episode will air so we can say how he did that, so I guess we will just have to watch Arrow every Wednesday until we see it.

BTWF roles: Rob Reiner on Batman
October 29th, 2012 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

(Starts at 10:00 in)

Before Rob Reiner had to deal with Archie Bunker on All in the Family, he had to deal with the Penguin on Batman. How awesome was it to the 19 year old with a full head of hair and no beard in that 1967 episode?

Paul McCartney says don’t blame Yoko Ono for breaking up The Beatles
October 29th, 2012 under Paul McCartney/Heather Mills. [ Comments: 1 ]

Ever since The Beatles split almost everyone has blamed Yoko Ono for breaking them up. Well it has been over 50 years since they called it a day and Paul McCartney is finally talking about it. According to The Guardian during an interview with David Frost that will air next month on The BBC he said, “She certainly didn’t break the group up, the group was breaking up.” He then added this when talking about John Lennon’s inspirational song Imagine, “I don’t think he would have done that without Yoko, so I don’t think you can blame her for anything. When Yoko came along, part of her attraction was her avant garde side, her view of things, so she showed him another way to be, which was very attractive to him. So it was time for John to leave, he was definitely going to leave [one way or another].”
Anyone else wonder what took him so long? And why hasn’t Ringo Starr ever said anything and why didn’t George Harrison? I mean that rumor has existed for most of our lifetime’s and not one member of the band refuted it until now. Or at least I don’t ever remember any of them contradicting rumor, do you? Maybe because it is all I have ever known, I am still going to blame her as the why reason why they broke up, even though I am sure what Macca said is the case.
So now back to the man that was once rumored to be dead, what is on his horizon? He told Frost, “I’d like to retire soon, and the way things are going I might be able to.” The world won’t be as musical when that happens.

The Neighbors are taking up residence on ABC for the full season!
October 29th, 2012 under The Neighbors. [ Comments: 1 ]

ABC is the last network to either pick up or cancel a new show and today they finally made a decision on the fate for one of them. The network has picked up The Neighbors for a full season. The sitcom about humans that move into a private community full of aliens gets funnier and funnier each week as they teach their neighbors about our ways. Like last week when they learned about Halloween-ween. I can’t wait until The Weavers teach them about Thanksgiving and Christmas. That should be interesting and even better it should be a laugh riot. I will be clapping so loud that they will lose their human skin and turn into aliens.
So if you haven’t seen this original sitcom yet, why not start now because The Neighbors aren’t moving anywhere anytime soon.
BTW ABC also picked up Scandal for a full season.
