BTWF Morgan Fairchild in The Initiation of Sarah
October 11th, 2012 under Before They Were Famous, Morgan Fairchild. [ Comments: none ]

Before Morgan Fairchild was a den mother for a sorority in American Horror House, she was a sorority president in The Initiation of Sarah. She looks the same now as she did when she was 27 in that 1978 telemovie.

NBC will air the failed Mockingbird Lane pilot
October 11th, 2012 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since I read they were thinking of redoing The Munsters, I have been against it. I guess I am not the only because NBC has decided to pass on picking up Mockingbird Lane as a weekly series. Instead of being out all the money they put in it, they have decided to air it on October 26th at 8p before Grimm.
After reading the description of the show in the NBC press release, I am even happier that they passed on it. How awful does it sound? Nothing like the original that is good as is!

In “Mockingbird Lane,” sweet little Eddie Munster (Mason Cook) is a normal kid about to enter the horrors of puberty. Truth is, he’s about to discover that for him becoming a teenager means growing hair in truly unexpected places — as in all over his body — every time the moon is full! Eddie’s got it pretty good though. His loving, supportive, run-of-the-mill family includes his mom Lily (Portia de Rossi), the daughter of Dracula; his dad Herman (Jerry O’Connell), who brings new meaning to “Frankenstein”; and Grandpa (Eddie Izzard), who would give Dracula a run for his money if he weren’t actually Dracula! Of course then there’s creepy cousin Marilyn (Charity Wakefield), who’s really the odd one because she’s so completely normal.
Buying a house these days is a nightmare, so Herman and Lily are shocked that no one scooped up the rambling Victorian mansion at 1313 Mockingbird Lane that was the site of a series of grisly hobo murders. Settling into their new place, they’re quickly onto the mission at hand: to gently ease Eddie into the reality of his werewolf adolescence. But it’s not always so easy to accept that your child is a little “different” from the rest of the kids. Meanwhile, Herman, who works as a funeral director, is suffering from a heart condition. Since he’s made up mostly of spare parts, he knew his makeshift heart would eventually give out. No worries though, because Grandpa, who is pretty good at procuring body parts, is on the case. All Herman cares about is finding a new heart with the same capacity to love Lily as much as he has for so many decades.

I wonder what NBC will do if the pilot is a huge hit, but considering it is airing on a Friday night the chances of that are as likely as Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis and/or Yvette De Carlo doing a guest Spot on the reboot.

Tonight’s Vampire Diaries’ season premiere doesn’t suck!
October 11th, 2012 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight’s season premiere of The Vampire Diaries on The CW at 8p picks up right where we left off and we find out what is Elana’s fate. She has 24 hours to make her decision if she will become the undead or just be dead. Bonnie has a plan that might change that, but someone else has plan that might make all of her efforts null and void. By the end of the episode we will find out if Elena really is a Vampire or human or dead, but that is not the most shocking part of the episode. You have to watch the final seconds of the hour to see what that is…

FX gives birth to a new season tonight!
October 11th, 2012 under FX. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 10:30p The League is back for a new season on FX and it scores another touchdown. Jenny is so ready to have her baby and Kevin is not ready to have sex have her even though she is begging for it. Dallas Cowboy’s Jerry Jones is begging Taco for something and all the guys are summoned to their training camp. And it wouldn’t be a season premiere without the guys picking their Fantasy Football League and there is only one thing that would make Ruxin give up his first round draft pick. Think you know what it is? You have tune into this very funny episode to find out. And if that is not enough, how about the fact that Jon Lajoie runs around butt naked in the episode and he has really cute a$$!
Now with every birth there comes a death and at 10p Dennis and Dee have to pull the plug on someone on the season premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Seems like an easy task for these two, but not everything is as it seems.
