During the Fast Money Round on Family Feud, you only have seconds to come up with the perfect answer. If you are the second family member going up in the round, your answer already might’ve been taken so you really have to go with the first thing that pops in your head. That answer might leave you embarrassed and being the butt of all jokes with your friends when the episode airs. And that is exactly what happened to Rocco when Steve Harvey asked him, “Name a job that is dirty, but someone has to do it?” His first response was plumber, but that answer was already taken. So when he tried again as the clock was nearing zero, he said “gynecologist”. It wasn’t as much his answer that was perfect, it was face after he realized the word that just came out of his mouth. Then a few seconds later, to see Harvey’s face just made that response even more priceless.
Sadly no one surveyed agreed with Rocco. I think they should’ve at least have given one point for effort, don’t you agree? Seriously I play Family Feud on my iPad every day and let me tell you that Fast Money Round is hard and makes you say things you never thought you would say.
Before Ian Gomez worked as a waiter on Felicity, he worked in a car wash on Married…with Children. He looks the same now as he did when he was 30 in that 1995 episode.
Back in November Kimberly McCollough announced that she was leaving General Hospital again and today was her last day on the ABC soap opera. The actress has been playing Robin Scorpio since 1985, back when she was just single digits. So you would think they would give her a proper sendoff since she has been doing the daytime drama for almost 26 years? Well then you would be wrong, very wrong. I tuned into the show today for the first time in months to see how she would be exiting the show and disappointment wouldn’t even cover my reaction.
Here is an actress that has done an amazing work with her HIV storyline and instead of that getting her, she is killed off in a stupid explosion because her whiny cousin’s purse accidentally turned on a poisonous gas in Robin’s hospital lab and those noxious fumes left Patrick Drake unconscious. Robin finds him lying on the ground and drags him out of the lab. She runs back in to get the medicine that might save Jason’s life and she gets trapped inside. Patrick desperately tries to open the doors to get his wife out, but an explosion ends it all for her character.
Seriously that is the respect a show gives one of its most beloved characters? For the first, I am actually hoping the show will get cancelled because GH is no longer worth saving.
I am one of the few people who was not a fan of Robin’s, but even I think she deserved a better departure than that. Hopefully Kimberly’s directing career will go much better than her General Hospital death.
Even though I am disgusted with how the show handled Robin’s death, I will say that Jason Thompson, who plays Patrick Drake, did a great job with the crappy hand he was dealt. And we haven’t even seen Patrick tell his daughter Emma that her mom is dead. Maybe then we will get the tissues out and mourn the character’s death instead of throwing our tissue boxes at the TV in disgust.
NBC announced its second midseason lineup for the season and good luck finding where your favorite show is airing. Community is back on March 15 at 8p, but Parks and Recreation is going on a 5 week break. When it comes back on April 19, it will do so the a new timeslot of 9:30p. So if Community is coming back to its old timeslot then what happens to 30 Rock? The Emmy winning show will follow the show that is ignored by the Emmys. The Office stays where it is as it, but no one seems to know where that is it any more. Up All Night which moved from Wednesdays to Thursdays will finish its season on April 12th in its newer timeslot. Awake (the third show to have this slot this season), I am assuming will continue to air on Thursdays at 10p after its debut. But I have a feeling Grimm or Smash repeats will be airing there before you wake up. In other words, I don’t get the show and I tried watching it a few times to see if I would like it better and I hated it more and more with each viewing.
Now that we know what is happening on Thursdays, here are the changes for Wednesday. The good news is that Chelsea and Whitney (which started the season off on Thursdays) will be leaving our airwaves on March 28th, and I pray will never be seen by us ever again. On April 4th Betty White’s Off Their Rockers will debut at 8p, followed by some show called Best Friends Forever. On March 21st Bent will premiere at 9p and will air back to back episodes until April 4th. Now what airs after Bent after that is beyond me and NBC. On March 7th Rock Center with Brian Williams will take over Law & Order: SVU’s 10p slot until April 11th and the crime will be back.
Got it? I don’t. NBC changes its lineup more than people change their underwear, and that is every day. Maybe, just maybe, NBC would do better if they let their shows air where they start the season off. So far the only shows to do that are The Biggest Loser, Parenthood, The Office and Grimm. That means only a 1/6th of their programming is where it started off in that fall. And they wonder why their ratings are going down faster than the Titanic did.
Anyone else sense that we will get a new head of programming at NBC this fall?
