Derek Jeter strikes out with his Charlie’s Angel
August 26th, 2011 under Divorce. [ Comments: none ]

After 3 years of dating the Friday Night Lights have gone dim on Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter’s relationship. A source told Just Jared, “The split was amicable,” and they added “But they remain friends. They still really care for each other.”
I wonder if her filming Charlie’s Angels and being away from him while he is playing for The Yankees had something to do with their split. Whatever the reason, I am sure they will be linked with new people as early as next week. They are both very desired and there are plenty of people who want to run the bases with them.

I want to get drunk with The Rum Diary
August 26th, 2011 under Johnny Depp. [ Comments: none ]

Johnny Depp is starring in The Rum Diary and it looks like he is back to doing the movies that he did right after he was on 21 Jump Street! I can’t wait to see the film when it comes out on October 28th because it looks like you will be laughing like if you had one too many shots of Rum!!!

GSN cancels Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza.
August 25th, 2011 under Game Show Network. [ Comments: 5 ]

Drew Carey gave an update on Twitter about Improv-A-Ganza and the news isn’t good. The Price of Right host said, “Bad news today. #GSN won’t be ordering any more episodes of #Improvaganza. Many thanks to them for giving us the chance anyway.” I think the cancellation is a big mistake because out of all of their shows, that is the one I know I best. I really enjoyed watching them make up crazy stuff on the fly. Hopefully Drew will find another place to do a show like that in the future because it is nice to watch a show that makes you laugh because of the stupid things they come up with right on the spot. Don’t we all need more of that?

BTWF roles: John Larroquette on Sanford and Son
August 25th, 2011 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before John Larroquette was starring on sitcoms like Night Court, he was starring in a sitcom that guest starring on Sanford and Son. He looks the same now as he did when he was 27 in that 1974 episode, except with better hair and no mustache!!!

Side note: I have always loved that episode of Sanford and Son and recently watched it again on AntennaTV and was amazed that they showed a part of Burbank that I drive by all the time. It is incredible how much it has changed and yet remained the same 37 years after they shot that episode. You might recognize that area of Burbank from The Tonight Show which tapes in that area every now and again. That restaurant Chadney’s is still there, but it has been closed since I moved here. And after all these years, it looks like they are finally opening it up again! Just a little factoid that interests me.
