James Cameron just out did himself because Avatar just beat out Titanic as the highest grossing film domestically according to Box Office Mojo. It took Titanic 252 day to reach the $600.8 million mark, but it only took Avatar 47 days to sink that number and earn $601.1 domestically. Granted the movie was able to soar in sales because it played in 3D and IMax theaters and those tickets cost more than the average movie ticket. If I were Paramount I would re-release Titanic in 3D just to beat Avatar. Although since it looks like nothing will stop Avatar from being #1 at the box office, I don’t even think that will help beat what ever numbers Avatar eventually gets.
BTW now that movie is the highest grossing movie ever, I think it is about time I see it.
Before Brad Pitt was living happily with Angelina Jolie and enjoying being a father to their 6 kids, he had just eloped with his high school sweetheart and the two were expecting their first child and were not so happy on Freddy’s Nightmares. I forgot how cute the 25 year old was back in 1989 when he didn’t have that scraggly beard on his face.
BTW yesterday I was watching this episode on Chiller and I couldn’t believe it was him, Brad Pitt has come a long way since he did Freddy’s Nightmare.

Unlike other celebrities Ellen Pompeo didn’t sell pictures of her baby Stella Luna, so that means we haven’t seen her. That is until now because the Grey’s Anatomy star finally decided to show her off 4 and a half month old daughter on Ellen DeGeneres and what a cutie she is. Seriously how precious is Little Grey’s face as she being held by Ellen’s real life Post It husband. Ellen told the other Ellen that it is no coincidence that the father and daughter are dressed alike, “Chris – he loves dressing her up like him,†Pompeo explained of her husband. “He goes out and buys her clothes that look like his clothes.†I have a feeling Ellen is going to be trying for a boy soon, so that she can dress Stella like her and he can dress their son like him!
Mel Gibson was being interviewed by WGN’s Dean Richards when the reporter asked him if the public would accept him after Mel’s famous drunken anti-Semitic rant. Mel didn’t like that comment and is like I did all these mea culpas and tell the reporter to move on because it has been four years. So the reporter does so by plugging the movie and Mel signs off by saying, “bye bye”. Thinking that the camera was off and the station was no longer on him the Mad Max star adds the word’ “asshole.” Great mea culpa there Mel. Good thing the reporter wasn’t a female or he might’ve called her sugar t!ts on the air.
I don’t blame Dean Richards for him asking the question, Mel hasn’t been in front of the camera since the incident and it is a fair question. 10 years from now they will still be asking him the question, same way they will still ask Christian Bale about his rant and Hugh Grant about his backseat blow job. If you can’t handle the press then don’t do it Mel, I know I won’t miss you and your balding head if you went away.
