Melrose Place premiered on The CW on Tuesday and how engaging was the show! Talking about engaging, Michael Rady aka Jonah Miller got engaged on the show talked to me about his new residence and about how he was the first one of the cast to step foot on the show’s set!!!
Michael Rady plays a filmmaker who proposes to his girlfriend in the pilot. So does the actor want to follow the career of his character? He told me thankfully that he is happy acting for the time being, but in the future it would be something that he would love to do. While it is good news that this talented actor wants to remain in front of the camera, the news isn’t as good for Jonah’s love life. He told me their relationship is going, “smoothish” and that is not a good sign on a show like Melrose Place. Is it wrong for me to say I wouldn’t mind him hooking up with someone else? Cheating is always fun to watch on a show like this, plus the sex scenes are a lot steamier!!!
When I watched the pilot Michael Rady was instantly my favorite on the show, not only because he is such a cutie but because I loved him on Swingtown. So I had to ask him if he called his former-castmate Grant Show, who was on the original Melrose Place, for any advice and the answer I got was more that I bargained for. He told me that Melrose Place tapes on the same set that they used for Swingtown. In fact the pool that had so many famous scenes in the ’70s is the same one that Sydney was found dead in! How f*cking cool is that? We joked that no matter what he does next he will still be on the same set, but hopefully that won’t be for a long long time because I don’t want to see Melrose Place go anywhere anytime soon!

We are still a month and a half away from Halloween and we are getting our second treat of a movie celebrating the holiday! First there was Halloween 2 and on October 6th Trick ‘R’ Treat will be out on DVD. Seriously how scary does that movie look? What that tricky trailer doesn’t show you is the movie is like Creepshow and Tales From The Crypt as in it is broken up to four different stories about Halloween. So in other words it is 4 times the treat!!!
Before Michael Rady was getting engaged on Melrose Place, he was dating Lena in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. How romantic was the 23 year old in that 2005 movie!
Maura Tierney was suppose to star in the upcoming drama Parenthood on NBC, but today it was reported that she was forced to pull out of the show because her breast cancer treatment will take longer than originally thought according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Ms. Tierney and her doctors remain confident that the outcome of her treatments will be positive,” Tierney’s spokeswoman said Thursday. “She is deeply disappointed that she will not be able to rejoin such a highly respected, talented, fun and funny group of actors and wishes to thank Jason Katims and NBC for their patience and support.”
NBC delayed the start of production of Parenthood and even moved the show to midseason to accommodate her medical needs, but sadly she needs more time. Let’s pray that she is better and cancer-free soon.
