Doesn’t Backstreet Boys Straight Through My Heart Sound familiar?
August 26th, 2009 under Backstreet Boys /Aaron Carter. [ Comments: none ]

So when I heard Backstreet Boys’ Straight Through My Heart, I was trying to figure out what song it reminded me of..and then it hit me it sounds a lot like the song Pop! Goes My Heart from the Hugh Grant movie Music and Lyrics. Seriously don’t the choruses kind of sounds alike especially since both have the same 4 word one syllable beat, Straight Through My Heart and Pop! Goes My Heart. C’mon, don’t tell me I’m the only one who thinks they sound alike. Plus I have a bet riding on this.
Whether I win or lose, I am still going to buy Backstreets Boys’ new CD This Is Us when it comes out on October 6th because I really like that song and I’m looking forward to hearing what else they did on their 7th studio album.

NBC’s Southland in trouble?
August 26th, 2009 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC is postponing the premiere of Southland by four weeks from September 25th to October 23rd. The show was originally set to premiere against Fox’s Dollhouse and the former NBC show now on CBS, Medium. but NBC has decided to move it away from them. According to The Live Feed the network is doing to give it some marketing support. Nice excuse, but as one of the very few shows from the recently ousted head of NBC Entertainment, I think that is a bad sign for the show. Plus most shows that debut in late October don’t make it to May.
I have never seen an episode of Southland and I have it heard it is not that bad, but with this recent development I think I will skip checking it out because it sounds like it is not long for the TV world.

(starts at 3:30 in)

Before Tyler Mane was scaring people as Michael Meyers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween 1 & 2, he was scaring Bailey on Party of Five. How intimidating was the 32 year old wrestler in his first acting role back in 1999.

Spotted Ed Westwick and the guy he’s going to be kissing!
August 26th, 2009 under Gossip Girl. [ Comments: none ]

(photo from Splash News Online)

A day after Michael Ausiello broke the news that Chuck Bass is going to get some guy-on-guy lip action, we see pictures of them walking to set before they start filming their scenes together looking cute together in their plain clothes. Ed Westwick and Neal Bledsoe will be sharing a kiss on episode six of The CW’s Gossip Girl. So how will this happen? Here is what Ausiello says, “Josh Ellis, NYU’s head of freshman affairs. Since Josh is tasked with selecting an incoming student for the honor of delivering the freshman speech, he’s, shall we say, a person of interest to Blair. In fact, she’s so determined to snag the slot that she goes so far as to pimp out her boyfriend to the gay guy in charge.” Wow Blair sluts off her boyfriend like that, but looks like she will get more than she bargained for because Chuck will have some big news for her after the smooch. Could be that Chuck will be more like his character in the book and go both ways. Now that would be hot!
BTW nice that we will get some guy-on-guy action for sweeps, we need more of that on TV!!!
