On the first night of sweeps, Jay Leno was so sick he was taken to the hospital for unknown reasons and was forced to cancel tonight and tomorrow’s taping. According to People, he wasn’t feeling well, so one of his co-workers took him to a nearby hospital. His rep says he is doing fine and, “He was kidding around with the hospital staff and running his monologue jokes by the doctors and the nurses,” says NBC’s Tracy St. Pierre. “He’s expected back to work on Monday.” Hopefully he will be better soon.
While he might be better soon, lots of big wigs at NBC are probably sh!tting a brick right now because sweeps is so huge and they really needed Jay to help Jimmy Fallon as a lead-in before he exits the show later this month for the 10p slot in the fall. And that must make the NBC execs really nervous, will he still be able to handle the show next season? I would hate to be them now. See that is what they get for cutting the Heroes order from 20 to 18 next year.
For the first time since he accepted the role of Donnie Donowitz aka The Bear Jew in Inglourious Basterds, Eli Roth did an on-camera interview with MTV.com about the Quentin Tarantino movie! In the interview he talks about working with Brad Pitt and how they both stayed in character, which is not a character I would want to stay in. He also describes why The Bear Jew kills Nazis by swinging bats at their heads and decapitating them as compared to scalping them like Brad Pitt’s character asked. He then talked about how he got the directing duties (besides the acting one) for Pride of the Nation from his friend with the hottie Daniel Bruel. From the way he describe the propaganda film that he directed with his brother Gabe, I can’t wait to see it. I also can’t wait to see him and Inglourious Basterds on August 21st!
Before Jessica Biel was taking it off for Powder Blue, she had powder blue makeup on her face in It’s a Digital World. The 12 year old actress looks almost exactly looks the same as she does now in that 1994 movie.
Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! they are closing down Hollywood Blvd for a live performance for Depeche Mode! Depeche is promoting their 12th studio Sounds of the Universe and will be playing songs from their latest album. But I will tell you if I go down there, brave the rain and they don’t sing any of their classic hits like People are People and I Just Can’t Get Enough, I will be screaming KMFDM. (And yes I know that is not what KMFDM really stands for, but for years that is what I was told it meant so I am sticking with the fact.)

Two people died on last week’s episode of Harper’s Island and tonight at least one more person will bite the dust. Who do you think will meet their maker tonight? And do you think know who might be sending them there? I have no idea, but one thing I know for sure is I love love love this show! It is so different than all the others and each week I can’t wait to see who else dies an awesome death!
