Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s friends are talking about the split

Madonna and Guy Ritchie might not be confirming that their 7 year marriage is over, but their friends are talking about it to the Daily Mirror.

A friend said last night: "They were both very calm. Madonna told Guy: 'I'm sorry, I want a divorce'. And he agreed. It was quite painless but very sad."

One disclosed: "He's a bit down in the dumps, and who can blame him. He's off to the country to get a bit of peace and quiet."

Friends insist the movie director is unlikely to wage a court battle for more of the star's millions. The couple have already made the welfare of their children – Lourdes, 11, Rocco, seven, and adopted David, two – their top priority.

One source said: "Guy is a decent bloke, full stop. It's not his style to start profiteering from such sorry circumstances. He's got too much respect for his wife and children."

Friends admitted the fiery relationship had become too difficult for both.

One said: "They both got tired of the fighting. It's like two prize-fighters slugging it out. Finally, they became exhausted."

A spokeswoman for the star said: "We have no comment."

I say blame Swept Away. I know that I am not the only that has secretly been wanting them to split just as revenge for creating one of the worst movies ever. But then I also thought if they could survive Swept Away they could survive anything. Guess not.
xoxo Jen!
UPDATE: If this is what Madonna was doing to Justin Timberlake back in April when she was married, I fear for all the men going to see her while she is on tour within a 10 mile radius now that she is single.

General Hospital: Night Shift is coming on July 22nd
June 27th, 2008 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: 3 ]

via General Hospital’s LiveJoural
It is going to be interesting to see how they work the Antonio Sabato Jr storyline in to the show, especially since his character died years ago from HIV. I kind of hope he breaks up Robin and Patrick Drake because that storyline and their chemistry annoys me. I mean how many times can Robin shut him out of her pregnancy, either let him or kick him out and let him become the daytime McSteamy.
But back to General Hospital: Night Shift, I can’t wait to see why they do to shake up General Hospital when it premieres on SOAPNet on July 22nd.

Comedy Central roasts Bob Saget
June 27th, 2008 under Comedy Central. [ Comments: 1 ]

Comedy Central has roasted Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, Flavor Flav and now they are choosing to Roast Bob Saget! “It’s an honor…My ass is already sore,” stated Saget.
I wonder who they are going to get to host the roast him? Jamie Kennedy? Jimmy Kimmel? Lisa Lampanelli?
Which members of Full House cast will be there The Olsen Twins? John Stamos, Dave Coulier? Jodie Sweetin? Candice Cameron? And hopefully they will bring back a Golden Girl for this one!
It should be an interesting night no matter who roasts him or which Full House cast members are there on August 17th.

June 26th, 2008 under Emmys. [ Comments: none ]

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced today the 10 finalists for this year’s drama and comedy categories.
If the Emmys pick the shows that I highlighted, this might be very well be a good Emmy year! Could you imagine if Seth MacFarlane got the call that Family Guy was nominated for an Emmy? I hope the House cast would be there to resuscitate him! Let’s hope Boston Legal gets the noms, so maybe ABC will reconsider this being Boston Legal’s last season.

Top 10 Comedy Series Finalists
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Entourage
Family Guy
Flight of the Conchords
The Office
Pushing Daisies
30 Rock
Two and a Half Men
Ugly Betty
Weeds

Top 10 Drama Series Finalists
Boston Legal
Damages
Dexter
Friday Night Lights
Grey’s Anatomy

The Emmy nominations will be announced on July 17th by Neil Patrick Harris. BTW why is How I Met Your Mother on that list?
