E! Online posted this picture of poor Anne Hathaway wearing a fashion-don't…a really bad fake tan. But fans of Anne Hathaway's pale skin don't fret, she won't be sporting that look for long it was just for a scene from Bride Wars that wrapped yesterday!
“Fear Itself” is a provocative, new 13-episode suspense and horror anthology series set to push the boundaries of this classic genre through a host of provocative talent, both in front of and behind the camera, including award-winning, sought-after directors John Landis (“An American Werewolf in London”), Darren Bousman (“Saw II, III and IV”) and Ronny Yu (“Bride of Chucky”); actors Brandon Routh (“Superman Returns”), Shiri Appleby (“Charlie Wilson’s War”), Elisabeth Moss (“Mad Men”), Cynthia Watros (“Lost”), Eric Roberts (NBC’s “Heroes”) and John Billingsley (“Star Trek: Enterprise”); and writers, including Joe Gangemi (“Wind Chill,” the novel “Inamorata”), Steve Niles (“30 Days of Night”) and Dan Knauf (“Carnivàle,” “Supernatural”).
When I first read about NBC’s Fear Itself, I couldn’t wait to see the show because I am such a horror lover and all. But I have to admit I was kind scared that it might be as horrible as Showtime’s Masters of Horror. Unlike MoH, this show is scary, suspenseful and I was able to get through every episode without wishing I was one of the victims being killed off in the episode. In fact not only is Fear Itself better than MoH it is better than most of the horror movies I have seen recently.
Tonight’s episode is Sacrifice and I could not believe how good it was and the fact that they got all that into a one hour show! Seriously maybe movies should only be an hour if that is what will make them good again. I mean Sacrifice had everything and unlike most horror movies these days it wasn’t predictable. In fact none of the Fear Itself episodes are. My favorite episode thus far is Family Man because at first you think you know exactly how it is going to end, but the ending has a twist you never see coming and have never seen before.
With Supernatural on a summer break and evil CBS canceling Moonlight, Fear Itself fills a void that we all need! So make sure to experience Fear Itself Thursdays at 10p on NBC, it is frightening how good this show is!
BTW doesn’t the theme song remind you of a song you would hear at an orthodox Jewish affair! UPDATE: For those of you who are wondering about who did the theme song, it is Serj Tankian’s Lie Lie Lie!
After seeing the pilot, I want to move to Swingtown now!!! This show is sexy, fun and making me wish I was in the ’70s! It is has sex, drugs and disco and did I mention sex! We all thought the ’60s brought about the sexual awakening, but what we learn from Swingtown it was really the ’70s that awakened our innermost desires. Seriously I never thought I would want to swing, but this show showed me I need a boyfriend now just so I can swing.
Besides the inside look at the Swinging ’70s we also get a show about relationships and teen angst. Whether it is 1976 or 2008 those things never change and this show handles that well.
When I heard about this show, I thought it was going to suck (no pun) but I was so wrong, because I am hooked on this show like the characters are hooked on cocaine and quaaludes
The weather is starting to heat up on the inside, but the thermometer is rising on our TV sets every Thursday at 10p with Swingtown! Burn baby Burb, Disco Inferno.
BTW for those of us who missed out on the ’70s, here are some of the artifacts we missed out on…
I want to believe that X-Files 2 is going to be great and by the looks of the trailer it is going to be!!!
I can’t until July 25th to see Mulder and Scully together again!
