Is Kevin Federline playing the role of responsible parent? The aspiring rapper is urging his estranged wife Britney Spears to get into rehab, according to the upcoming issue of Star. “Kevin has tried to convince Britney to check herself into rehab from every possible angle,” a source told the tab. “First he tried threatening to take away the kids, then he tried pleading with her to take care of herself.” K-Fed even teamed up with his former nemesis, Spears’ mother Lynne, in an effort to convince the “Toxic” singer to get help. “He’s afraid she’s going to hurt herself,” says the source. Federline is also concerned that Spears doesn’t spend enough time with their children, claims the insider. “They’re being raised by strangers,” he said. “He told Britney to get help before it’s too late.”

Heather Mills sanctioned an astonishing internet attack on her estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney. But within hours, the onslaught was softened on the advice of her lawyers. On her official website, Miss Mills allowed her sister Fiona to accuse Sir Paul of putting both Heather and their daughter Beatrice’s lives at risk by refusing to pay for bodyguards to counter death threats she had received. But the words were later redrafted for fear they might damage Miss Mills’s divorce settlement. Legal advisers on both sides have counselled the couple against becoming embroiled in a public slanging match. However, on Heathermills.org, Fiona rails against Sir Paul and the media. She states: ‘The vicious agenda of these tabloids has resulted in death threats to my family and as her husband is not concerned enough to help I will at least try to do something. ‘Heather and Beatrice no longer receive the protection that would be afforded to any other member of the McCartney family facing such threats.’ For a few hours, the posting was removed completely from the website. When it returned, it no longer contained the allegation that Sir Paul was ‘not concerned enough to help’. The changes occurred between 10pm on Monday and 6am yesterday. A friend of Heather said they were made once she realised what the legal implications of making a direct attack on Sir Paul might be. A divorce judge could take a dim view of either party speaking openly about the divorce. The posting comes just days before the couple will face each other in court for the first time to battle it out over whether Sir Paul, 64, should pay for Heather’s security. Fiona, 35, is 38-year-old Heather’s only sister and most loyal ally. In recent months she has acted as her personal assistant. The website posting also denies reports about cash settlements she has been offered by Sir Paul.

In the height of passion, she would scream "I’m a Nazi!" which was Kirk’s cue to slap her. While enjoying an active sex life, Kirk insists he did have some morals about love. When he was seduced by a wealthy girl one summer, he refused to take the relationship any further because he was more interested in her Cadillac. The Hollywood legend said: "I met a very attractive girl with rich parents. She said her father would buy us a nice apartment in New York and take care of all of our expenses while I was in drama school. "She had a beautiful Cadillac and there was the extra dividend of good sex. What else could a poor Jewish boy want? But deep down inside I knew I would end up as a man without character. Bottom line, I just couldn’t do it." Kirk also revealed Ava Gardner once turned up at his apartment in the middle of the night crying over her marriage to Frank Sinatra. He said: "Ava was sobbing. She said they had had an argument. Frank had a gun. He threatened to commit suicide. I said, ‘Ava, married people have arguments. Frank loves you. You must go back and try to act like nothing happened.’"

Sony Pictures Television daytime talk program “The Greg Behrendt Show” is officially the third casualty of the season for syndicators. Production crew and staff members were informed Tuesday that the series was ending production and would not return next fall for a second go around. Story continues below… Production for the series is expected to continue at least for the short term and possibly for the rest of the season, according to multiple sources close to the series and Sony. “The Greg Behrendt Show” has averaged a 0.8 rating this season, tying for last place among talk programs with “The Megan Mullally Show.” The Tribune station group, where Sony had sold the series in major markets, passed on renewing “Behrendt” in favor of the upcoming “Jerry Springer” spinoff series “The Steve Wilkos Show.” Sony made an effort to pitch the Behrendt show to other stations at the National Association of Television Program Executives show last week, but was unable to find takers.
