KEITH Urban’s distinctive tattoos could be the key to proving claims the singer cheated on his wife with a US model are lies. Urban’s body art was updated when he began dating Nicole Kidman almost two years ago, covering up one Latin phrase he’d had done in unison with his ex-girlfriend Niki Taylor. The distinctive wrist tattoos went from one thing line in 2002 to the wide band of a celtic design he sported when he met Kidman in 2005. His fans and tattoo experts claim the ‘Love Conquers All’ script around his right wrist was tattoed over with a "celtic band" to get rid of the last remains of his relationship with the 90s supermodel. But in photos published by Woman’s Day magazine on December 18, to supplement claims of an Urban affair by 23-year-old model, Amanda Wyatt, his tell-tale wrist has been covered in all images. While Urban has previously denied ever having a relationship with Wyatt, through his US publicist, the layout of the images of the pair has raised doubts over the timing of the alleged affair and how old the photos are. It is understood the Australian rights to the set of seemingly incriminating photos have been sold to an unnamed local weekly magazine and are expected to be published again on Monday.
Lily Allen has publicly decried Paris Hilton, claiming her music career is a fad. The singer finds it hard to believe that Hilton has been able to secure a record contract, and is bewildered that at members of the public who have gone out to buy it. "Five years ago Paris Hilton’s album would have done really well over here (in the UK), because we didn’t have things like the Internet; we didn’t have bands like myself or the Arctic Monkeys," Allen said. "Now people can see (Paris) for what she is, and think: ‘Go away! What makes you think you have a life?’ Paris Hilton’s album did really badly over here and I just think it’s so boring and pathetic and it shouldn’t happen. It’s just laziness. People cheesy enough to buy albums like that should be killed."
Maybe because I am one of those cheesy people who wants to buy Paris’ album, I think she went a little too far saying that people should get killed. Plus 5 years ago we did have the internet and we also had bands like Blink 182, Sum 41 and Weezer (which are better than her) and we still would’ve felt the same way about Paris.
Film and TV star Dean Cain may soon be headlining a tour of Aaron Sorkin’s military drama A Few Good Men. According to the AWA Touring Services website, the show would be presented as a "pre-Broadway tour" starring Cain, presented by Bill Kenwright and directed by David Esbjornson. No details have been confirmed. Esbjornson directed a successful West End production of the play last year; it starred Rob Lowe and John Barrowman. The tour would, according to AWA notes, offer "an epic production featuring a huge cast of over 20 actors…This is a riveting drama posing important and disturbing questions about the nature of power and the responsibility of those within that power…Dean Cain is scheduled to undertake the pivotal role of hotshot lawyer Daniel Kaffee." The original Broadway production of A Few Good Men opened at the Music Box Theatre on November 15th, 1989 to run for 497 performances. The play was directed by Don Scardino, and Sorkin ("Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "The West Wing") received the 1989 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding American Playwright. Sorkin’s latest play is The Farnsworth Invention, which will receive a workshop production at La Jolla Playhouse from Feb. 20-March 25.
