Jillian Barberie expecting her first kid
December 16th, 2006 under Preggers. [ Comments: none ]

Good Day L.A. cohost and former Skating With Celebrities ice queen Jillian Barberie is pregnant, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. This will be the first child for the Barberie, 40, and her husband, actor Grant Reynolds, 34. "We’re both thrilled," Barberie says. "I feel like I’m at a place in my life where I just am really happy. I never thought I wanted kids – I was a career girl all these years! I never thought about it before until him." The baby is due on July 7, a year to the day after the parents-to-be got married in an intimate ceremony in Barberie’s backyard. At four months along, Barberie has not yet learned the sex of the baby, but plans to find out next week. "My husband thinks it’s a boy," she says, "Yesterday I saw him on the monitor and he was boxing! It could be a girl – a little tomboy, which I kind of was." The pregnancy was especially good news for Barberie, who was unsure if she could conceive at 40 after a 2004 miscarriage. "I was pregnant a couple of years ago with a guy that I was dating, and I thought, well, I’m 38, and I’ll keep the baby because who knows if I’m going to have the chance," Barberie says. "When we got married I said, you know, I think this is something we’re going to try at. But (Grant) is very laid back and he said it’s just going to happen. He’s infectious with his positive thinking. And sure enough, it did! We got pregnant on our first try. I’m very blessed. I would have gone the route of treatment if I had to." Her only pregnancy complaints so far? Exhaustion – and carb cravings. "I’m a big fan of the protein diet, and since I’ve been pregnant all I’ve been eating is pasta, potatoes, rice, bread," she says. "And I used to be the biggest steak eater. I can’t even look at a steak right now. The whole thought of it disgusts me."

Good thing I don’t watch the show because I bet that is all she is going to talk about. But in all sincereess, I hope this pregnancy goes well for her.

Not a sunny forecast for NBC Raines
December 16th, 2006 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

There’ll be a little less "Raines" at NBC this spring. Peacock has opted to halt production on the Jeff Goldblum midseason drama, capping the number of episodes produced at seven. Net had ordered 13 episodes of the show, but ultimately decided it only needed a half-dozen segs beyond the pilot. "Raines" will still get a primetime shot, however. NBC is sticking by plans to air the seven produced episodes on Friday nights, starting in March. The "Raines" cutback marks the second time in recent weeks NBC has reduced an episode order for a midseason skein. Net previously cut back its commitment to laffer "The Singles Table," capping it at six segs. "Raines" stars Goldblum as an LA cop who imagines he’s interacting with dead people in order to solve crimes. Skein is from NBC Universal Television Studio.

I guess there are only so many shows we can have with people talking to the dead. I wasn’t planning on watching because I am not into Jeff Goldblum, were you?

Anna Nicole Smith back in the States
December 15th, 2006 under Anna Nicole Smith. [ Comments: none ]

Entertainment Tonight is reporting that ANNA NICOLE SMITH went to the Ninth Circuit Federal Courthouse in San Francisco to mediate with a federal judge and the family of her late billionaire husband, J. HOWARD MARSHALL II, over her share of the vast fortune he left behind. The amount is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars. This is the first time she has left her home in the Bahamas for the States since the death of her son DANIEL and the birth of her daughter, DANNIELYNN. Wearing a black suit and dark sunglasses to the proceeding, Anna Nicole was accompanied by her attorney, HOWARD K. STERN, and she arrived by cab just before 10 a.m. PST. Marshall, who was six decades Anna Nicole’s senior, died in 1995 and did not include her in his will. She contends that her late husband intended to provide for her through a gift in the form of a special trust. The case has battled back and forth for years. Last February, Anna Nicole appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court, which determined that she had the right to pursue her case. Anna Nicole told ET in an exclusive interview in her Bahamian home last month that her late husband seems to be watching over her, saying, "Howard [K. Stern] is the sweetest, nicest person I’ve ever met in my life besides my husband, J. Howard Marshall II. It’s like my husband sent him to me." After Marshall’s death, she told ET, "I speak to him daily. It’s spiritual thing, you know, I talk to God, I talk to my husband. They talk to each other and they keep me straight."

Entertainment Tonight

I hope they bring her back to LA before she heads back to the Bahamamas so Larry Birkhead can confirm he is the father!

Natasha Lyonne finally turns herself in!
December 15th, 2006 under Arrested. [ Comments: none ]

Actress Natasha Lyonne, the star of "American Pie" accused of threatening to sexually molest a dog, turned herself in at a New York court on Friday. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest in January after Lyonne, who has also appeared in "Blade," and "Scary Movie 2," missed four court hearings. The 27-year-old faced a number of charges including criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing after accusations she threatened to sexually molest her former neighbor’s dog and ripped a mirror off the wall during a 2004 argument. At the Manhattan Criminal Court appearance, drug counselor Heather Hayes said Lyonne had completed an in-patient drug program in February and continued to attend outpatient rehabilitation groups. Judge Anthony Ferrara said the charges would be dropped if the actress stayed out of trouble for the next six months. In the court complaint, Lyonne’s former roommate claimed Lyonne trashed their apartment and then banged on a neighbor’s door, rushed into that apartment and picked up her dog, telling the woman, "I’m going to sexually molest your dog." Lyonne pleaded guilty in 2002 to driving under the influence of alcohol in Miami. She was fined, sentenced to six months probation and 50 hours community service.

I wonder if this will effect the filming of Goy Band? And seriously who thought she would still be alive today? It is a miracle.
