New low for Courtney Love |
September 28th, 2006 under Courtney Love. [ Comments: none ]

COURTNEY Love has shocked again by posing as the Virgin Mary while cradling a dying lookalike of her late husband Kurt Cobain – supposed to depict Jesus Christ. The troubled one-time Hole frontwoman modelled for the cover shot for fashion and celebrity photographer David LaChapelle’s new book of images, Heaven To Hell. The picture is based on the well-known image of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. Courtney wears a blue dress the same colour as Mary’s robes. And she is depicted nursing a dying man who looks like Jesus. He also bears more than a passing resemblance to former Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain who killed himself with a shotgun in 1994. But instead of crucifixion wounds, the man has similar wounds on his arm that could be seen to represent syringe injection marks. There are also a stack of pills and medicines on a table in the shot. After Kurt’s death, enough heroin to kill three people was found in his system. Instead of a loincloth the man wears branded underpants and he is blonde, just like Kurt. It’s not the first time Courtney has shocked. She’s led a well-documented battle against drug abuse and flashed her boobs on David Letterman’s American chat show. Last year it was rumoured she was pregnant with Alan Partridge creator Steve Coogan’s baby. The picture of her is the cover shot for the third volume in David’s trilogy of books.
Bizarre
That picture is just so wrong, there is nothing I can say I like about it. I have always said that she used her husband’s death to become a household name, and this futher proves my statement.

David Spade had a great casting day! |
September 27th, 2006 under CBS, Comedy Central, David Spade. [ Comments: none ]

Comedy Central has picked up "The Showbiz Show With David Spade" for a third season. Additionally, Spade has joined the cast of CBS’ midseason comedy series "Rules of Engagement." Comedy Central has ordered 13 new episodes of "Showbiz Show." The half-hour weekly comedic parody of the entertainment industry is slated to launch its third season in February. Spade said he was "stoked" to be back for a third season. "I want to get back on the air as quickly as possible so that we don’t miss out," he said. "There is too much good stuff going on right now in Hollywood. We have to catch up." "Rules" revolves around an engaged couple (Bianca Kajlich, Oliver Hudson), a married couple (Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price) and a happily single guy (Greg Pitts). Spade will play the engaged man’s best friend. Spade’s last-minute addition to the cast of "Rules" is reminiscent of his first stint in a primetime comedy series. In 1997, he was a late addition to another new midseason sitcom, NBC’s "Just Shoot Me!" He was added to the cast of the workplace comedy after the original pilot already had been shot and went on to become one of the main characters on the long-running show. His series credits also include a role on ABC’s "8 Simple Rules."
