Seriously? OMG! WTF?

Mark Brokaw (The Constant Wife, How I Learned to Drive) directs this stunning revival of the psychological drama by Tennessee Williams. Tony Award® and Emmy Award winner Blythe Danner (Follies, TV’s Huff) stars as the formidable Mrs. Venable, an aging widow distraught over the mysterious death of her son. When the young cousin who traveled with him, played by Carla Gugino (After the Fall), begins raising scandalous allegations, Mrs. Venable enlists the help of a young doctor (Gale Harold from TV’s Queer as Folk, Vanished) to preserve her son’s reputation.

I am so going to see this when I am in NY since he will no longer be on my TV on Monday nights. I just hope that the play’s fate doesn’t follow the same fate of the 3 leads’ TV shows.

As part of a flurry of last-minute scheduling changes, FOX has placed its freshman comedy "Happy Hour" on hiatus until after its October baseball coverage. New episodes then are expected to resume on Thursday, November 2 at 8:30/7:30c. Repeats of "’Til Death" will instead fill in for the show’s previously announced broadcasts before the baseball break – Thursday, September 28 at 8:30/7:30c ("The Ring and I," a new episode of "Happy") and Sunday, October 1 at 7:30/6:30c (a repeat of "Happy’s" pilot). Also getting an early exit: fellow newbie "Justice." The show’s October 4 airing has been bumped in favor of a repeat of "House" that night at 9:00/8:00c. Said development makes its September 27 broadcast its last new installment before its baseball-induced hiatus. To soften the blow however FOX has added a repeat of "Justice’s" pilot on Friday, September 29 at 8:00/7:00c, trimming the previously-planned two-hour season finale of "Celebrity Duets" to just one hour in the process. The news comes as both series hit ratings lows against its "premiere week" competition. So far this season (based on fast national numbers), "Happy" is down 34.78% in households and 32% in adults 18-49 from its premiere while "Justice" is off 37.29% in households and 36.67% in adults 18-49 from its bow.

The two new shows on Fox I do not watch, so I will not miss them if they are gone. I do feel bad about Celebrity Duets having their two hour finale cut down to an hour.
On a ratings update Men in Trees kept it’s audience, but fell to third place against Close to Home (not as good either this season) and Dateline. With that said I do not get the axe this week.

Actor and director Mel Gibson visited two Oklahoma towns this week to attend screenings of his new movie, "Apocalypto." Gibson did not make a public appearance during screenings held at the Riverwind Casino in Goldsby and Cameron University in Lawton. At the entrance of the casino — where the film was shown Friday to a mostly American Indian audience — reporters were kept behind partitions. He arrived at Cameron on Thursday morning wearing a mask and wig so he wouldn’t be noticed, university spokeswoman Amber McNeil said. Jhane Myers, an Oklahoma City-based publicist who escorted Gibson, issued a statement saying Gibson was "deeply touched by the warm reception he has received while in Oklahoma." Myers had said earlier in the week that Gibson had canceled the screenings planned for Oklahoma. Gibson co-wrote and directed "Apocalypto," which is billed as an action-adventure film set in the last days of the Mayan civilization in Mexico. It will be released Dec. 8.

You know the movie is bad when it test screening at a Casino in buttfreak Oklahoma and at University no one ever heard of in a city no one ever heard of. In fact it is so bad that Mel Gibson felt the need to hide his identity from everyone there. (OT that kind of reminds me of his Simpson’s episode he was on.)
