Harry Anderson magically disappears from New Orleans |

This week is the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting The Gulf Coast, and former Night Court star Harry Anderson has announced that he and his wife, like many people, are leaving the city.Anderson hasn’t done much television since Dave’s World left the air in the late 90s. Instead, he opened a club in New Orleans, where he has been performing a one man show and showcasing local talent. They also owned a home in the city, which had a magic shop on the first floor. But now Anderson and his wife are leaving the city, and in this interesting New York Times piece (you don’t hear much about Anderson these days, so any story that pops up immediately grabs my attention), Anderson talks about what Katrina has done to the people of New Orleans, why he’s leaving, getting mugged, and where he might move to.

Britney Spears’ husband Kevin Federline is continuing to pursue an acting career, having landed role in ITV4 show Entourage.The star will appear in three episodes of the programme, playing a celebrity’s freeloading spouse.A source told The Sun: “He is really keen, and not insulted when he was asked to play the part.”

 Keira Knightley gave her mother a guided tour of the set of her latest movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, as the pair took a boat with the rest of the cast for filming off Redondo Beach in California.Keira’s mother, Sharman Macdonald, who lives in Richmond, took a professional interest in proceedings as she is an actress turned playwright herself.She has even had a hand in her daughter’s acting success, writing the play After Juliet for her. Knightley, 21, has recently admitted she has been working so hard over the last five years she may take a year off so she does not lose her love of acting.

For most mothers the start of the new school year is a welcome relief from the hurly-burly of the school holidays.But Madonna has enjoyed seeing her children so much that she wants them to stay on her Confessions world tour with her.While she may have gone up in the estimations of little Lourdes, nine, and Rocco, five, her husband Guy Ritchie is not so keen on the idea.Guy, 37, and the queen of pop, 48, have had a series of furious rows because he thinks the children should stay in one place to be educated.He is growing increasingly fed up with them moving every few weeks because of the tour, which goes on until October.A family source said Madonna ‘likes to have her children with her — otherwise she wouldn’t see much of them’.The source added: "They already have schools in London and Los Angeles which they float between."But in recent weeks they’ve been to New York and Miami too, and she wants to take them to other tour stops like Russia."Madonna thinks it’s good for her kids to be with Mom and see the world, but Guy disagrees."He’s more traditional and would prefer them at one school."It’s causing a lot of tension — and their friends and family are voicing opinions too."
