Dave Navarro on yesterday’s taping. |

Yesterday’s show was a lot of drama, fun and great performances. This episode might have the most solid set of performances yet. There really isn’t much room for criticism anymore. They are all good at this point and it is just a matter of who the public pulls for so that Supernova can make their final decision. Yeah, we covered a little more of the drama at the top of the show, but I can tell you that the panel has already moved beyond it. I am glad Dilana was able to learn a hard lesson, but in the same breath, I can’t think of a lead singer worth his weight in rock, that hasn’t said some really stupid shit in the press at one time or another. The same certainly goes for me and Tommy! It happens all the time, just not on prime-time network television. So, having said that… We are over it. It is back to the competition at hand. Finding these guys the best singer for their band. At this point, it is up to you to vote and decide who the final four will be. Someone is gone on Wednesday and someone is gone on the following Wednesday… Unless, of course, there is another dreaded double elimination.

Double elimination coming Wednesday? I think it would only be if Storm and Toby are both in the bottom 3, but I could be wrong.

SINGER Barry Manilow wanted more than a good doctor in the operating room where he had hip surgery Monday – he wanted his hard-earned Emmy Award in there too.Hours after Manilow won the Emmy for outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program, he underwent hip surgery at an undisclosed Southern California hospital. He said he figured the Emmy would be a good luck charm.Manilow came through the operation "swimmingly," then headed back to his home in Palm Springs, California, publicist Carol Marshall said. The entertainer will not be resting long, she said. His recovery and rehabilitation was expected to last six to eight weeks. Then the celebrated showman will travel to Atlantic City, New Jersey, for an October 14 performance. On Oct. 21, he is scheduled to appear in Chicago, then it is back to his show at the Las Vegas Hilton on November 8. He is in the middle of a four-year contract with the hotel. In early November, his new album, "The Greatest Songs of the Sixties," is due out.Manilow postponed arthroscopic surgery on both hips so he could attend the Emmys on Sunday. He performed "Bandstand Boogie," the theme from Dick Clark’s "American Bandstand," as part of a tribute to Clark during the show."He was excited. He didn’t think he’d win," Marshall said Monday. "It was a nice surprise."The 60-year-old singer was in pain during the show, but adrenaline kicked in, she said, and when his name was called a few minutes later, he did not even hear it.

A friend of mine went down to Redondo Beach Pier this weekend to see where they are filming PotC3! He was nice enough to share this "very cool" picture of the ship with us! He told me he heard that they gives tours of the Black Pearl when they are not filming. So if you live near Redondo Beach you should so go see the ship and send me pictures!
Thanks Scott!

Bruce Springsteen says marriage strong on his site |

I hesitate to use this website for anything personal believing it should remain a place where fans of my music can come free of the distractions that occasionally arise with the rest of my job. However, due to the unfounded and ugly rumors that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn’t pass without comment. Patti and I have been together for 18 years- the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married.

Tom Arnold filed for a legal separation from his wife, Shelby Roos, on Monday, after four years of marriage, PEOPLE has learned When asked why Arnold filed for a legal separation, which involves a permanent division of assets, rather than a divorce, Arnold’s rep said the couple may still reconcile. "He doesn’t know what the future holds, but he does care deeply for her," the actor’s spokeswoman, Staci Wolfe, tells PEOPLE exclusively. Arnold, 47, met Roos, 34, a political consultant, in 2000 at the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. The couple married June 29, 2002 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. In the actor’s separation documents, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by Beverly Hills divorce attorney Neal Hersh, Arnold asks the court to treat the couple’s Beverly Hills home, as well as all profits that Arnold had going into the marriage, as his own separate property. The papers provide no date of separation.
