Singer Boy George will report for community service Aug. 14 – cleaning New York’s dirtiest streets under the steamy summer sun, the Daily News has learned. The androgynous British pop icon was sentenced to garbage cleanup duty after he pleaded guilty in March to falsely reporting a break-in at his Little Italy loft last fall.The crooner – who asked "Do you really want to make me cry?" in his 1982 hit "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" – will be issued a shovel, broom, plastic bags and gloves when he reports to the Sanitation Department’s District 3 headquarters for five days of street cleaning, department spokesman Vito Turso said.Culture Club fans interested in a Boy George sighting might consider heading to Chinatown – one of the most likely assignments for the singer, whose real name is George O’Dowd."A lot of tourist traffic means a lot of street litter," Turso said. "This is the epitome of community service. It’s not like he’s going to be working in an air-conditioned office."But O’Dowd also might wind up in Little Italy, Nolita or parts of the lower East Side, neighborhood areas also included in District 3. "They go where we could use the assistance most – high-traffic areas need a lot of street sweeping. We also send them to vacant lots and to sweep sidewalks," Turso said.

Hey everyone-
lacey here. i have some news for you which if you read the boards im sure you’ve heard. that benji was in the hospital for 2 days due to strep throat and dehydration…..thankfully, hes going to be ok and he will try to stick it out for this week.
-BUT- its kind of sad how scared he is with votes. he shared with me that hes afraid he might be getting sent home this week. so please lets show him his myspace fans are backing him. every vote counts. and he will be very greatful to each and every single one of you guys.

I am sitting in my dressing room backstage at Rockstar as I write this, which incidentally, is Simon Cowell’s dressing room. They shoot Idol on this stage too. It’s hard to believe we are already a month into this show. Today is our taping for the performances that air on Tuesday. Right now, Tommy is rockin some drums during our break. I’m telling you, if you have ever seen this guy play, you’ll know why I keep telling the singers to step up their performances. This is what I have been worried about this whole time. How is anybody gonna front this guy? I’m hoping some contestants accidentally walk by while he is up there. It’ll put the fear of God into them. Frankly, it’s almost unfair, hahahaha, but that’s the name of the game they are playing!

Rock ‘n’ roll couple OZZY and SHARON OSBOURNE insist they are responsible for the success other reality TV stars are now enjoying, because they created the template to the reality shows themselves. The family became hugely popular after agreeing to go before the cameras and film every detail of their lives in the reality TV series THE OSBOURNES. Other celebrities have been inspired to develop their own shows, including KISS bassist GENE SIMMONS and BLINK 182 drummer TRAVIS BARKER. But Sharon claims The Osbournes is still the best reality series ever made, saying, "Ozzy single-handedly opened the door for all of these people who are doing reality TV now. We were the first, we’re the best." Two of the couple’s children, KELLY and JACK, came under intense media scrutiny during the show and have both had much-publicised battles with substance abuse. Sharon adds, "It affected the children, but look at what has happened to my children now – they’re two great, healthy, strong, independent people. They’re living a successful life. "So, ultimately it turned out great for them. There was good and bad, but let me tell you, there was more good."
