CNN was reporting on the UK tuition hike in England when instead showing video of the protests, they showed a scene from Dumb & Dumber. Not just any scene from the movie, but the scene where Jeff Bridges has major diarrhea. I am sure after that segment aired several people in the newsroom made a beeline to the bathroom because as Bill Cosby once said, “First you say, then you do it!” And since whoever was responsible for the gaffe is now in the sh!tter for letting that video accidentally make it on air.
Seriously why was that scene from that 1994 movie in the playback decks like that?
UPDATE: Thanks to Dlisted, we now know why CNN had that video in playback and all I have to say is the once most trusted name in names should be very ashamed of themselves. That is some f*cked up sh!t.
