As a child of the sixties and a mother, I am totally disgusted by Brooke Shields recent admission that her health regret is not having sex before age 22. I seriously doubt that her extra 20 lbs in college was related to not having sex but more about her seductive childhood role and the attention it brought to her. Young women need a much more positive role model and to connect her poor body image to “lack of sex” is not the
messsage I would want my daughter to have. Self esteem comes from within yourself. not from the actions with others. I am really disappointed and feel badly for the
way she will explain womenhood to her daughter.
