Bonnie Tyler will sing Total Eclipse of the Heart during the total eclipse
August 18th, 2017 under Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1983, it had been 4 years since a total eclipse and people were able to relate to Jim Steinman’s lyric for his huge ballad Total Eclipse of the Heart sung by Bonnie Tyler. Today, it is 38 years later and people are once again excited for an eclipse because we are getting another one on August 21st.

So excited that Royal Caribbean is setting sail a Total Eclipse Cruise this Sunday and passengers will be able to witness the moon covering the sun from the water. To make that rare occurrence even more monumental, they will have Tyler sing that infamous song to hundreds of bright eyes as they go dark. How awesome is that going to be? To make it even better, the guests will be having Cake by the Ocean with DNCE.

Now back to the eclipse, tell me I am not the only who watched too many Horror movies and Sci-Fi shows and is afraid we are going to be taken over aliens, Zombies and/or animals during those 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Or time will stop and some evil lord will control our brains and we will never be the same when the sun finally shines through again?

Finally, there are still seats available for the cruise and you can get tickets to be one it for less than $800. What a bargain!

Why doesn’t Meat Loaf want you to buy Bat Out of Hell?
May 6th, 2017 under Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman. [ Comments: none ]

Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell, one of the greatest selling albums of all time, is turning 40 years old this year and Sony in the UK is re-releasing it in honor of the milestone and the musical playing there based on the record’s playlist. The singer took to Facebook yesterday and implored people not to buy it.

IN JUNE ,SONY RECORDS IN THE UK, IS TRYING TO RELEASE ANOTHER STUPID VERSION OF “BAT OUT HELL” ONLY FOR THEM TO MAKE MORE MONEY. RIDING ON THE BACK OF “BAT OF HELL ” THE MUSICAL . FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOW , JIM AND I GET NO ROYALTIES FROM BAT AND NEVER HAVE, THEY ADMIT THEY HAVE SOLD 44 MILLION ( WHAT HAVE THEY REALLY SOLD WORLDWIDE we are guessing 55 to 60 million ) , JIM AND I HAVE GOTTEN , I AM SERIOUS PENNIES . THEY HAVE SCREWED ME AND JIM. SINCE 1981 . IT TOOK US ALMOST 13 YEARS JUST TO GET STATEMENTS. SO I AM ASKING ALL OF YOU TO NOT BUY THIS RECORD . TO BOYCOTT THIS RELEASE COMPLETELY . IT IS NOTHING BUT A GREEDY RECORD COMPANY , TRYING TO STEAL MONEY FROM OUR FANS . DON’T BUY THANKS MEAT AND JIM

PS . SPEND YOUR MONEY AND GO SEE A GREAT MUSICAL
“BAT OF HELL” THE MUSICAL .

Ryan Melbourne just wrote me and said some Fancy Cover , They sent the regular Bat Cover and said this was the cover was the Cover . They can’t change the cover without Jim and mines permission. Meat

Incredible that they haven’t seen a lot money from it because songs from BOOH are still be played all the time. When I was growing up Paradise in the Dashboard Light was a rite of passage song. I am sure a lot of nearly 17 year olds lost their virginity to that anthem. Just for that Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman should be paid for their Rock Opera. Or maybe they should pay all the child support that came from it. Joking!

Also, who hasn’t sped like a Bat Out of Hell on the highway while listening to the title track? I know I have and it is the perfect melody for doing that.

Bat Out of Hell: The Musical is coming to the stage!!!
September 7th, 2016 under Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman. [ Comments: none ]

Bat Out of Hell is the most theatrical album ever made and now almost 40 years after its release it is getting a stage musical. According to Billboard, Jim Steinman, the most brilliant lyricist to grace the music industry, is writing the musical as you read this. Not only will songs from 1977 album be included, so will tunes from the follow-up record Bat Out of Hell 2. At this point, Meat Loaf’s and Steinman latest collaboration Braver Than We Are and Meat are not expected to be part of it when the show debuts in London in February.
Casting is underway, and I really hope they don’t cast Adam Lambert in the role. I know people think he could be the next Meat, but I am sorry, he is not.
When it comes to musical, I have to admit this news brought tears of joy to my eyes. I can’t stop kvelling.

BTWF news: James Corden on Good Morning with Anne and Nick
August 23rd, 2016 under James Corden, Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman. [ Comments: none ]

Before James Corden hosted The Late Late Show, he was BBC’s Good Morning with Anne and Nick’s Young Good Morning Showbiz Reporter. He looks exactly the same now as he did when he was 16 in that 1995 interview.
BTW don’t you think Meat Loaf and him kind of look father and son?
And when is Corden going to have Meat on his show so they can sing Bat out of Hell and Paradise in the Dashboard Light during Carpool Karaoke? How perfect would that be? I would ride on the floor of the backseat to hear that!

Meat Loaf is in ‘good condition’ after collapsing during a concert
June 17th, 2016 under Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman. [ Comments: none ]

Meat Loaf was performing in Edmonton yesterday when he suddenly collapsed on the stage. Being the performer that he is, he kept on singing I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That) until he couldn’t anymore. The band, the crew and a paramedic rushed to his aid until an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital next door where he is recuperating.
According to up! 99.3 his spokesperson says that the singer is “in stable and good condition.”
The 68 year old singer cancelled a show in Calgary on June 13th for an undisclosed illness.
Hopefully he will be better soon and more people can experience one of the most powerful performers to ever grace the stage. Out of all of the concerts I have ever been to in my whole life, his concert still remains in my Top 3. He truly gives it his all and with the power of his voice that is something you can never forget. It stays with you for the rest of your life.

UPDATE: Here is the full statement on Meat Loaf’s condition:
Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal — he’s responsive and recovering well.
He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.
Any concert postponements / rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
