Chelsea Handler is taping a standup special on August 22nd in Jersey City, NJ, but there is something you have to do when you get the free tickets. According to
1iota, “Please be prepared to go through a 2-step testing protocol to attend the show. Testing will be provided by production and coordinated upon ticket confirmation.”
My friend told me that they did this for Dave Chappelle’s comedy special on July 29th. I guess this means that this is the future of what we will need to do to go to a show. You need to be tested for COVID-19, and test negative for coronavirus, before you go into a dark cramped space to listen to someone try to be funny.
Even though all of the ticket holders will be tested, would feel safe enough to be a theater now during the coronavirus pandemic? Call me what you want, but there is no way you could get me to do it. There will still be comedy specials when it is safe to go to one again.
