There have been some interesting flavors of ice cream, like Ranch, Macaroni & Cheese, and Pickles. However, the company for new parents, Frida and the ice cream shop, Oddfellows, created a flavor that might be the strangest one of all.

What is it? It is breast milk. Yes, the flavor that most new fathers want to try but then regret doing so. However, as I learned on the Jerry Springer Show and The Boys, there is a fetish for it. And the companies, I guess, are trying to zero in on that market.

The ice cream is described as lightly sweet, a little salty, with hints of honey and a dash of colostrum. And while it’s not actually made with human milk, we think our recipe tastes pretty close to the real deal.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, “Colostrum is the first form of breastmilk that is released by the mammary glands after giving birth. It’s nutrient-dense and high in antibodies and antioxidants to build a newborn baby’s immune system. It changes to breast milk within two to four days after your baby is born. Colostrum is thicker and more yellow than traditional breast milk.”

Now that you know that no human breast milk is involved in the making of the ice cream, do you want to try it? You can buy two pints for $12.99 each while supplies are available.

I just saw that Oddfellows is based out of the Bronx. As a girl who grew up there, I don’t know if I should be proud or not. What I do know is that I have been holding my milk makers since I started this post.
