MTV is doing something really strange, they are getting back into music TV by reviving TRL. Carson Daly will not be returning, instead the MTV VJ will be replaced by five different hosts including rapper-comedian DC Young Fly and Chicago radio host Erik Zachary.
The announcement was made yesterday and The New York Times says that it will be on our airwaves in October with a new state of the art studio.
It will be interesting to see how the new generation of MTV viewers will take to hearing music on the network and not teen moms. I welcome it, but then again I have aged out of VH1!
