Firehouse 51 is alerted that a plane is coming into Chicago O’Hare Airport, and air traffic control cannot communicate with it. It has gone radio silent. So Firehouse 51 is on standby in case it crashes.
Thankfully, it doesn’t crash, but there is no movement inside the plane. So, they take off the door and go inside. What they see shakes them to the core. Everyone is dead in their seats.
Why is everyone dead is something One Chicago is going to have to find out before it is too late. Thankfully, Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) are back to help out.
And they are going to need the help. What I didn’t mention to you is that there was one survivor on the plane, and Novack (Jocelyn Hudon) and Viollet (Hanako Greensmith) rushed her to Chicago Med because she is pregnant and dying from whatever that mysterious substance is. However, when they get to the hospital, they are told to stay in the ambulance or else.
Why? Because some of the firefighters who went inside the plane are getting sick. Will any of them die? Spoiler alert, yes. And someone else will be arrested.
Before we get to that, Voight (Jason Beghe) joins Upstead to find out who is behind the mysterious attack and what the poison is so that they can help the sick. And it will not be easy because the person covered their tracks well.
This event is so suspenseful that I didn’t check to see how much longer I had until I was 3/4 in. And I didn’t check again until it was over. So be prepared to be glued to your televisions for three hours tonight on NBC, and on Peacock starting tomorrow.
