Even though the 1976 version of Carrie with Sissy Spaceck was perfect that did not stop Hollywood from remaking it not once but two more times. The second version hit the airwaves in 2002 and then 9 years later it was back on the big screen again.
Matt Skuta brilliantly combined the three films in a nearly 13 minute video to show us how alike and different the three versions are. As technology advanced, you would think it would get scarier. It did not. The first one still looks like the best of the trio. The last one was by far the worst. There was nothing about it that made me want to reach my arm out from the ground to see it again. When it comes to the original, I have seen it more times than Carrie has fingers on both of her hands. It really holds up well.
Now, I have to find the TV movie version because I think Rena Sofer looks like she was a better coach than Betty Buckley. Sorry Miss Buckley.
