[ # ] The Emmy noms are…
July 18th, 2013 under Emmys

The 2013 Emmy nomination were announced today and they mostly suck because they are just so freaking elitist. They nominated people and shows that the average television viewer does not watch. For example more people watch NCIS on a weekly than watch all the televised noms combined. And most viewers won’t even know who the people are that got nominated because they don’t watch the shows that they are on.
I am happy that Jimmy Kimmel Live received several nominations for the show including Best Variety and Writing. Also I love that Political Animals was recognized for its greatness even if USA didn’t bring it back for a second season. It’s great to see every adult from Modern Family except for Eric Stonestreet.
Now when it comes to the really bad, Matt Le Blanc didn’t do anything worthy for the nom he got for Episodes this season. Was Al Pacino really that great in Spector when he sounded like himself the whole time? Was Connie Britton really that great on Nashville, when she does the same thing she does in every role she has?
Where is Rob Lowe for Behind the Candelabra? Jeremy Piven for Mr Selfridge? Cloris Leachman playing her own mother on Raising Hope? Lifetime’s Steel Magnolias and Lindsay Lohan for Liz & Dick?
What do you think of the noms? Who’s missing? Who shouldn’t be there?
