The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert mentioned David Letterman’s retirement; but he didn’t talk about taking over The Late Show when he retires. Instead after he praised the CBS late night host he said, “I got to tell you, I do not envy whoever they try to put in his chair.” Then he added after the audience chanted his name, “Those are some huge shoes to fill and some really big pants.” The fake news anchor was referring to that fact that his production company is called Worldwide Pants.
Seeing how Colbert shared the news with his audience, makes me even more confident that he is the perfect person for the job. Has he won you over? Or did he have you at, “Hello!”
