School Spirits is the little show that could. The first season streamed its first season on Paramount+, and it did OK. It got a second season.
Then, Netflix picked it up, and it found a whole new audience.
So, when the second season started streaming, it did 94% better than its freshman year.
Therefore, it makes sense that the streamer renewed it for a third season less than two weeks after its shocking second season finale, which left us wanting more.
“We are so thrilled to bring SCHOOL SPIRITS back to our devoted audiences for another season of masterful storytelling brought to life by Peyton List and the incredible cast,” said Shauna Phelan, Head of Live Action Scripted Series and Film for Awesomeness and Nickelodeon. “Co-showrunners Oliver Goldstick, Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud have an exceptional ability to capture the complexity and nuance of the teen experience, while also keeping audiences on their toes with the unexpected mystery, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the students of Split River High next season.”
And I can’t wait to see who is alive, who is dead, and who is whose body.
I just wish we didn’t have to wait until 2026 for new episodes.
