Back in 2014, USA Network cancelled Psych, and they realized they made a huge mistake. So, they made it up to the fans by giving us two movies. However, they didn’t air the second film, so they gave it to their streaming service Peacock TV. That telemovie did so well that Peacock gave them a third one.
So, you are cordially invited to Gus’ (Dulé Hill) wedding to Selene (Jazmyn Simon), which starts to stream today. Well, that is if the wedding happens. You see, Shawn (James Roday) finds out that Selene’s name really isn’t that, and he tells Gus.
Now the two of them are on a search to find out who is baby mama really is before he walks down the aisle. What mayhem will they cause? What will they find out about her? Will it be enough for the Groomzilla to call off his wedding?
While they are doing that, Lassie (Timothy Olyphant) is still recovering from his stroke, and Henry (Corbin Bernsen) is helping him do that both physically and mentally. It is a good thing they have each other.
It is also a good thing that Jules (Maggie Lawson) has Karen (Kirsten Nelson) to help her out as they try to find Shawn and Gus.
And there is Curt Smith from Tears for Fears. All I will say is he deserves the Emmy because you will be head over heels for him.
You will also be head over heels for Psych: This Is Gus. Psych is one of the most underrated television shows in the history of TV because of his humor, wit, originality, and chemistry. I am still hoping that one day they will bring it back as a series. But for now, these specials are a good fix.
They give you a season’s worth of feels in two hours. How often can you say you get two hours worth of enjoyment? You don’t, but you do with Psych. So don’t be like USA Network and tell them to “suck it!” Be like Peacock and watch it! I don’t know what that means but watch it anyways.
