In July, Peacock debuted The Five Star Weekend, a series about five women getting together in Nantucket for a weekend to support their friend who suddenly lost her husband a few months earlier, and people tuned in. So many that it is now the streamer’s most-watched scripted series. Therefore, they announced today that they picked it for a second season.
“Regina [Hall], Chloe [Sevingy], Gemma [Chan], D’Arcy [Carden] and I have had the best time talking to people about ‘The Five Star Weekend.’ We’re so happy you love it as much as we loved making it for you,” said star and executive producer Jennifer Garner. “If you’re curious about what’s going to happen next, imagine how we feel! We’re grateful to Elin [Hilderbrand], Bekah [Brunstetter], our producers, directors and Peacock for hosting the ultimate girls’ weekend that will be season two.”
You can watch all eight episodes on Peacock, and find out why people, including me, are loving the buddy dramedy.
