Ariana Grande’s people announced on Sunday that she is going to be taking a break from everything when her tour ends on September 1st. And people assumed it is because of all of the public concern about her skeletal frame.
Yesterday, during her show in Chicago, she explained her future absence to the audience in a three-and-a-half-minute candid speech.
“The announcement that was made yesterday was not a reactive or impulsive thing. It was something that I have decided. A plan that I had quietly made a long time ago. It was a decision that was made from a thoughtful and empowered place. And I want you to know that many things can be true at the same time.
“I heard that my fans were worried that negativity was ruining things for me, but I just have to say that could not be more the far opposite. This is not what that is. And I just want to be very, very clear: multiple things can be true at the same time. Boundaries need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes. And also, this can be and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life.”
If you think about it, she has been working nonstop since she was a preteen and made her Broadway debut in Thirteen. And she has been working her hardest in the last few years because of Wicked and Wicked For Good. So she earned some time to rest and be a normal person. And when she is ready, she can return to the limelight and do what she does best, making her fans happy.

Today is Martin Sheen’s 86th birthday, and he is celebrating it with Janet, his wife of nearly 65 years.
The Sheens started the celebration off with her bringing out a cake and singing Happy Birthday to him, as he adorably sang it to himself. After he blew out the candles, he told his wife that she takes the cake. And that is what she did. So, he didn’t get any cake for his birthday.
Thankfully, there is always next year. And if he continues to remain as youthful as he is, then he will be celebrating many, many, many more with the woman who loves and puts up with him.
Seriously, how is he 86 years old? President Bartlett never ages.
