BTWF: Scott Bakula for Chevrolet

Before Scott Backla traveled back to 1983 on Quantum Leap, he actually did a Chevrolet commercial that year. Don’t you love his dance moves when he was 28 in that 1983 commercial?

Usher postpones his tour due to a neck injury
August 15th, 2024 under Usher. [ Comments: none ]

Usher was expected to start his Past Present Future tour in Atlants yesterday, but he cancelled at the last minute because he needs “to rest and heal.” However, he didn’t say why.

Today, he revealed why, and that he will have to postpone a few more shows.

Earlier this week, I suffered an injury to my neck while rehearsing to provide my fans with the greatest USHER show of all time.

My hope was that with physical therapy and medical treatment, I would be able to overcome the injury and be ready for opening night. Unfortunately, the injury has not healed yet, and my doctors have instructed me not to perform any shows this week. The good news is that the doctors are saying that with appropriate rest and treatment, I should be ready to commence the tour in Washington DC on August 20th.

I love my fans and thank you for understanding that this injury must be healed so that I can give you the 100% excellence that you expect from an USHER show and that I will be on stage in your city very soon.

Hopefully, he will be better soon and back entertaining his fans.

The third part of That ’90s Show looks charming
August 15th, 2024 under That '70s Show. [ Comments: none ]

Netflix knew they had something good when they picked up the sequel to That ’70s Show to series. Therefore, they split the That ’90s Show into three parts.

We would’ve gotten parts two and three earlier, but the strikes delayed filming of these episodes. After watching the trailer, I am reminded of that saying, “Good things come to those who wait.”

It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Part 3 picks up right back in the Forman kitchen – where Red and Kitty return from Paris to find a giant hole in the wall. And this isn’t even the biggest crisis Leia has to face. New relationships are formed, old ones move to the next level. Friendships are tested and just when things seem to be working out, a blast from the past returns to blow it all up again. With Summer break winding down, the gang has to come to terms with Leia leaving them again, but this time she’s not going without a fight.

That ’90s Show is the rare sequel that is as good as the show it came from. Therefore, I can’t wait to see the final eight episodes of this season on August 22nd. I really hope that they are not the final episodes of the series.

Tulsa King is the role that Sylvester Stallone was born to play
August 15th, 2024 under Sylvester Stallone. [ Comments: none ]

Some people might say that Sylvester Stallone was born to play Rocky or Rambo, but I say Tulsa King is the part he was always meant to play. But then again, Oscar is my favorite film of his.

Anyways, on September 15th, he will be back as Dwight on Paramount+. Today, the streamer finally released the trailer for the anticipated second season.

In season two, Dwight (Stallone) and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim. With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.

So add that to your calendars because you don’t want to miss a single second.

If you missed the first season, you can stream it today on Paramount+.

Oreo and Coca-Cola team up for cookies and a cola
August 15th, 2024 under Junk Food. [ Comments: none ]

via Snack-o-Lator

Have you ever eaten Oreo cookies with Coca-Cola and wished they could be combined into one snack? Well, on September 9th, that is going to happen.

The classic chocolate cookie half has been kicked up with the addition of Coca-Cola syrup and popping candies to simulate the fizz of carbonated soda, while the other half is a Golden Oreo that’s been given a Coke-inspired makeover. Sandwiched between them is Oreo’s original white creme. Instead of milk, you can dip them in an Oreo-flavored Coke Zero.

“Bringing together the playfulness of Oreo and the real magic of Coca-Cola is unexpected, but also feels right because our brands are alike in so many ways,” Oana Vlad, Coca-Cola Company’s Global vice president of Brand Strategy, said in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “As a first-of-its-kind collaboration for both brands, we are thrilled for besties around the world to join us in celebrating new products, great experiences and unexpected moments of connection.”

I have not bought a limited edition Oreo in a really long time, but I cannot wait to try these! Don’t they sound divine?
