South Park takes on Ozempic
May 15th, 2024 under South Park. [ Comments: none ]

South Park doesn’t shy away from controversy. In fact, Trey Parker and Matt Stone run towards it. For example, they have taken on the COVID-19 vaccine, streaming, Only Fans (I am still not over that), and Stanley Tumblers.

On May 24th, they are tackling Ozempic, the $ 1,000-a-month weight loss medicine. In SOUTH PARK: THE END OF OBESITY, the advent of new weight loss drugs has a huge impact on everyone in South Park. When Cartman is denied access to the life-changing medicine, the kids jump into action.

I can’t wait to see the skinny of their take because you know those fat cats will destroy all those people who are taking it when they don’t have to.

BTWF: Justin Hartley in Cold Case
May 15th, 2024 under Before They Were Famous, Justin Hartley. [ Comments: none ]

Before Justin Hartley was looking for missing people on Tracker, the detectives on Cold Case were looking for his murder. He looks the same now as he did when he was 30 in that 2007 episode.

Adam Sandler has some Happy news for us!
May 15th, 2024 under Adam Sandler. [ Comments: none ]

Adam Sandler scored a hole-in-one in 1996 when he released the golf comedy Happy Gilmore. Since then, fans have been sad because they have anxiously been waiting for a sequel. But we have not gotten one.

And now fans can be happy again because https://about.netflix.com/en/news/netflix-upfront-2024-the-year-of-growth-and-momentumannounced today that the actor is finally ready to pick up the golf club again. But first, he has to pick up the pen and write the script. However, we are getting it.

And that is all anyone but Sandler knows about Happy Gilmore 2.

Well, we know one more thing. Sadly, we won’t be getting any cameos from Bob Barker, Carl Weathers, Francis Bey, Joe Flaherty, and Richard Kiel. That is because the sequel has taken so long to be made that they have gone to the great fairway in the sky.

UPDATE: Shooter McGavin reacts to the sequel, “Hey
@AdamSandler, best of luck in the sequel. You’re going to need it. There won’t be no miracle putt to save you this time. You know it, I know it, the whole world knows. I’m winning the gold jacket this time and there’s nothing you can do about it. See you on the tee box.”

Grey’s Anatomy loses another doctor
May 15th, 2024 under Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

(ABC/Nino Munoz)

Grey’s Anatomy is going into its record-breaking 21st season, making it the longest-running medical drama. So, you would think it would be rolling in dough? It isn’t. Because of that, the large cast is going to have to get smaller.

On Monday, we found out that Jake Borelli, who has played Levi Schmitt for seven years, will depart the series after a few more episodes.

Today, we found out he is not alone. Midori Francis is leaving the show after just two seasons.

Deadline says that, like Borelli, she is in negotiations to return for a few episodes to wrap up her character’s storyline.

I don’t think the cuts are done. So expect to see at least one more doctor to say goodbye to Grey Sloan.

Who do you think will/want to be next?

Oh, I think I know a way the show could get a lot of money. They could part ways with Ellen Pompeo because I think her salary could save a lot of people’s jobs.

Will Wicked get people back in the movie theaters?
May 15th, 2024 under Ariana Grande. [ Comments: none ]

The first full trailer is out for Wicked, and it looks like it is going to be a theatrical event!

The musical, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as Glinda and Elphaba, feels like the type of movie you have to see at the movies to truly experience the epic adventure in the land of Oz.

Will the film be enough to get people’s butt back in the movie theater seats? We will find out this Thanksgiving.

How do I think it looks? As they say in Boston, “Wicked!”
