The question of what will happen with the Law & Orders has finally been answered according to
The Hollywood Reporter. NBC has picked up Law & Order for a 18th season, but have given USA Law & Order: Criminal Intent for it's 7th season. Strangely, Criminal Intent will air on USA first and then encore on NBC, what exactly that means I am not sure. This is what Jeff Zucker had to say about the move, "With this innovative programming move, we have significantly strengthened the already powerful USA network, given NBC maximum flexibility, and in the process have changed the paradigm of prime time television. In the end, it is all about our viewers. And this will allow our viewers continuing access to the finest programming across the premier networks of NBC Universal." Still doesn't makes sense to me, but there is not a whole lot of what Jeff Zucker does that does make sense to me.
I just hope this move does not mess with the future of any of my shows on USA like The Dead Zone, Monk, Psych and 4400.
