Nicholas Hoult and David Corenswet both auditioned for James Gunn’s Superman, but only one of them could be given the title role. As we know, the part went to Corennswet, while Hoult was cast as the villain Lex Luthor. And it looks like he took playing the bad guy seriously.
Corenswet decided to try the Trust Fall with his co-star, and it didn’t go as he planned. As soon as he fell backwards, Hoult walked away. Therefore, the Man of Steel hit the ground like a sheet of steel.
And that is why you never trust a villain or someone who lost out on the role to you.
