October 13th, 2025 under Tichina Arnold

While I am trying to come to terms with this being The Neighborhood’s final season, Calvin (Cedric the Entertainer) and Tina (Tichina Arnold) are dealing with Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) moving away from them.

During the season finale, Malcolm moved to the beach in the hopes of getting a spinoff, but it didn’t happen. So, I was wondering if he was going to move back in with his brother, Marty (Marcel Spears), across the street from their parents, or stay in his new house.

Tonight at 8p on CBS, we find out he didn’t come home. Now, Tina is missing her baby boy and feeling like she has nothing going on in her life. Even though Marty is living a few feet away, and his baby mama, Courtney (Skye Townsend), and their daughter are there all the time. You would think her granddaughter would be enough for her, but it is not.

While she is missing her son, Calvin is getting to spend some time with his son. And Tina is jealous of that. When will she get to see her son?

She is not the only one missing her baby boy. Gemma (Beth Behrs) is trying to adjust to Grover (Hank Greenspan) going to high school. It is the first time he has not been at a school where she worked. How is she going to handle that? At least her husband, Dave (Max Greenfield), seems to be doing OK with it.

He might be OK, but I am not. I really like the changes they set up in the season premiere, so much so that I hate that this is going to be the last one. Why does it have to end when it is still so funny? Why can’t the C in CBS stand for comedy?
