Little Debbie is selling a grab-and-go single-serve Birthday Cake, and that makes me sad. Why? Because I can see myself buying one on my birthday.
But that is not how the snack company sees it. “We wanted to capture the pure, unbridled joy of a birthday party and make it accessible anytime, anywhere,” said Chuck Clevenger, associate brand manager at McKee Foods. “By moving to this new single-serve hex shape, we’re offering a premium, standalone treat that’s perfect for those ‘just because’ celebrations.”
And now I see it a little less sad! Every day can be your birthday with the little cake! And that can be a happy thing because birthdays are special.
And for me, that is a good thing because I hate my birthdate. So now I can celebrate any day I want.
