We have seen bloopers for television shows and movies, but I don’t ever remember seeing any for the making of an album. Josh Groban, who just released Stages this week, posted a video that shows that musicians also mess up when the record their music.
One of today’s greatest singers revealed at the beginning of his gag reel, “When I’m on camera, I sing like hell.” Then for the next 2 minutes, he shows us that he does the same even when he doesn’t know the camera is on him. Several times hitting notes, we didn’t know the Soprano could hit. All of the vocal changes are done in good fun to relieve of some the stress of recording.
Now that Stages is out, climbing the charts, he should prepare for his next hit record. Instead of singing show tunes and movie musical numbers, he should record one with all of the many different voices he can do. This video proves he can do it. In fact, it proves it needs to be done. Would you buy it if he did it? I would!
