When it was announced that Disney was going to make 3 new Star Wars films, I am sure I am not the only one who was hoping that J.J. Abrams would direct at least one of them. Well the man who brought us Felicity gave us some news that was as devastating as that horrible haircut she got. According to
The Hollywood Reporter he told Empire Magazine, “There were the very early conversations, and I quickly said that, because of my loyalty to Star Trek and also just being a fan, I wouldn’t even want to be involved in the next version of those things.” Then he added, “I declined any involvement very early on. I’d rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them.”
So now that he is out, it will be interesting to see who will get their dream job.
