I will openly admit that I have never seen Joquin Phoenix’s Joker. I have no temptation to. It is too dark and depressing.
However, that does not mean I am not interested in the movie and its sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.
But after watching the first trailer, I will not be seeing this because it looks too fucked up for me. It is the same reason why I don’t like modern-day horror. It is too psychotic, and after working in hard news for many years, I have had my fill. So, I am good on the criminally insane.
What did you think? Will you go see it on October 4th? Will Lady Gaga get her first Oscar?

Agree, 100%. I could not make it through the first 20 minutes of “The Joker”. I tried several times, even when it was running on “Max”. It was just too dark and depressing. Why would I want to subject myself to that? No interest in the sequel for exactly that reason, too.
The world it already dark enough. I don’t need to strap myself in for 2 hours of anarchy blasted at me.
