
CBS believed in the FBI spinoff CIA that they picked it up, even though the backdoor pilot was not ready in time to air last season.
Then, in July, Executive Producer David Hudgins stepped down, and Law & Order: SVU EP Warren Leight took over for him.
Today, Variety is reporting that Leight stepped down, and FBI showrunner Mike Weiss is expected to replace him.
Due to the last minute change, filming is expected to go on hiatus. However, the trade says that the drama is still expected next year.
Leight’s departure is not the only one who has left CIA this month; actress Michael Michele and producer Eriq La Salle also quit the show.
At what point do you say, “Fuck it?” I am thinking they are at that point because the signs are all there. But then again, High Potential and Grey’s Anatomy had a lot of turnover before their debuts, and look at them now.
